Great news everyone! We are finally moving! We will be up and running tomorrow 9/15 at the new location at 1229 12th avenue. I have included some pictures of where you can park highlighted in blue. There is ample parking across the street and spaces directly in front of the building as well as down the alley next to the building. We are very excited to share this new space with you. Bare with us as everything won't be completely put together for a while as it's been a lot moving not only the business but myself and my family into this new space. If you have any questions feel free to message or call. Our number will not change.
Lastly thank you for hanging in there with us and being our wonderful fabulous clients! We would not be moving to a space where we can grow without all your patronage and referrals! ❤️

This weekend was supposed to be moving weekend, but as life likes to give me a hard time we have had to postpone again. I am unsure of the new day and don't want to state a day until I can be more sure that it will not have to be changed again as it's difficult to reschedule 4 groomers back down to 3 and frustrating for all of us. We however made big steps this last week and hopefully we will be ready for painting and flooring parties early to middle of next week.

Yeeeeee doggie! We got a new event coming up that’ll be a tail-waggin’ good time!

It’s no secret Sahale is a dog-centric taproom. Four-legged friends have been welcome inside and out since day one. We also have been giving back to great community causes and non-profits and we’re tying them both together with this event.

From noon-5pm we’ll have amazing local dog and pet oriented businesses set up on our patio, including Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC), who’ll bring some adoptable pups.

Happy 4th of July everyone! We know this holiday can be hard for our furry and feathered friends so we hope they don't have too hard of a time this evening if anyone is lighting off 🎆🎇🎆🎇.

Also the projected moving date of July 14th will not be happening. We still have no drywall! So we will keep you posted the best we can on this crazy venture I got myself into. Until then I'm still stressed and going day by day.

I have not posted in a while and I figured it was time. Here is the new place! Cute right? That's what I thought lol. It is definitely cute from the outside and I thought almost the same colors it's meant to be!!! Forgive me I'm a little negative, overwhelmed and sarcastic currently.
This venture all started in February 2022 when I first looked at it. My taxes however were not done yet and didn't wind up getting done until May so I didn't have any kind of pre-approval from the bank. And of course in that time someone wrote an offer. You may have heard it was going to be a Greek restaurant, that in time fell through. And therefore I got pre-approved for a house and was going to start looking. Well then we got that call that it fell through. So got an offer written up but someone else got their offer in before me. Hopes dashed again. I had this place almost all planned out in my head and it was going to be just what we needed. I kept getting let down though. Well the other offer fell through. So 3rd times a charm right? I got it but then came the environmental issue that the previous two prospective buyers never got to. The bank wasn't going to loan me the money until we figured out the issue with the fact that there used to be a dry cleaner in the property directly behind the building and they used chemicals that give off a toxic v***r that was found in that building and in soil tests on their property. So first obstacle. Needless to say things needed to be done. I had to put a mitigation system in and the DNR had to test and take samples. We passed. No v***rs detected thank goodness. So finally closed on the building 11/30/2022.
Now comes the fact that our family friend who is also a contractor who was supposed to do my work had some serious health problems and now couldn't do it. I also worked for him and was going to be free labor to help with cost. Crap! On to the next battle.
We needed to address some serious structural issues and some previous stupidity that has been done over the years to this 1892 building. Thankfully with a mom who is a realtor and knows everyone, Dave Strachota at New Horizons Ventures LLC and Gerald Smallish and Sons that got taken care of from the basement up. This of course was not a planned fix. But after all the equipment was out we saw some major sagging in the floors and some cutting of things that shouldn't have been cut.
So here we are into June and I was hoping to have been moved during spring break. To say this has been mental, physically and emotionally taxing is a grievous understatement. I feel terrible that I haven't been able to groom barely at all for the last 5 months. So I thank you all for your patience. I've wanted to be as accessible as I could for the building and haven't even been able to help as much as I was planning to with our friend unable to do the work. So I hired Lauren who I am very happy with and am glad she is part of our team to groom but that left no room for me lol. And doing all this and trying to be a good boss, a good business owner, a first time mom and managing my mental health has been a true test of will and strength and I'll be honest I was ready to throw my hands up and sell it a week ago. But I don't like my current jacked up rent cost by $500 this past February and our current place as we have just outgrown it because of all of our wonderful clients and your patronage and praises you song of us. We are blessed.
So as you can see we are still without drywall 🤦🏻‍♀️ but we are chugging along. Thanks to Miller heating and cooling, Gall Plumbing, J Miller Electric and my dad, mom, brother and boyfriend and friends we are almost ready for drywall and once thats done I can really get moving. Then there is flooring, painting, cabinets, finish plumbing and electrical, trim, doors and various odds and ends.
So we have movers scheduled for July 14th. And God help me I pray that this is the final date because it has changed so many times now. That being said we will send out an email. If you haven't received one then we are still at the current location.
There will be some changes at the new place this will be included in the email. But we will have you sign a new contract with the new policies. We will have a new updated price list to be effective September 1st. But most of all we will be able to take care of you in a more timely manner as there will be 4 of us grooming instead of 3 and will potentially have space for a 5th groomer.
If you made it through this long ass (pardon my mouth but it was a warranted swear 😉) post we commend you we appreciate you and we can't wait to have you at our new location!

My oh my our schedules are full. We have mostly been full since the middle of November. We are now fully booked until after the first of the year! That doesn't mean the phone will stop ringing. So please remember to confirm your appointments and check the times in the reminder texts because many of you have a prebooked recurring schedule but during the holidays the days and times may have changed. So just double check please as we are busy busy busy and if you miss an appointment or are late we most likely will not be able to see you and your pup until after the new year. Also if you need to cancel or reschedule please please please give us at least 24 hours so that we can fill your spot. We do have a waiting list and if you would like to be placed on it, please text or message us and leave us your name and phone number and we will add you to that list.

We appreciate your patience with us during the crazy holidays. We will do our best to accommodate as we can.
