So how does laser therapy work? Laser therapy uses a beam of laser light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. The light is delivered through a noninvasive hand piece to treat the affected area. Most treatments take a matter of minutes. Your pet may feel a gentle, soothing, relaxing warmth. Our doctors' dogs love their laser therapy days and, of course, how cool they look in their doggles. Give us a call at 847-548-2626 for more information.
Happy Wildlife Wednesday! This dove was brought in to our Good Sam program after it was attacked by a dog. We were able to rehabilitate and successfully return it to its natural habitat. Here's a video of Cathy M, one of our vet techs, releasing it into the Rollins Savanna behind our office.
If you believe you have found an animal that requires medical attention, please call us or another licensed rehabilitator before attempting to acquire or care for the animal. Some animals that appear orphaned or injured may not require human intervention. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about your situation!
Good Sam supplies and funds are used to provide the specialized care and nutritional support necessary to prepare these injured animals for release to their natural habitats. If you would like to donate to assist with the cost of caring for animals like this dove, you can donate through our paypal link here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?token=hrngfhf7rcnUrlfCydWeFB3KjsHxW_K_BvAdLRHALcSD7nWsNbpIbzTLEoOBVMKRx4p7p0&country.x=US&locale.x=US
