Aside from being an equestrian photographer, I am the full time Marketing Director for a multi-disciplined horse show complex in Ohio.

I've worked and professionally interned for some of the largest entities in the equestrian space. My 2024 goal is to expand the business and offer marketing services to the public! 🦋

I'll continue to shoot photography and work alongside my team at my full-time role, but I am opening evenings and weekends to take on a select few clients in the following departments:

This guy here is one of the more interesting cases we manage. We’ve been doing this fella for a long time now. Sadly I wasn’t diligent about taking pictures at the beginning. This guy foundered in just his right front foot. The vet thinks he has suffered a possible blood clot in this limb. Leading to the reason he only foundered In the one front foot instead of both, how it usually occurs. Sadly over time the lack of healthy blood flow to the foot lead to a rapid decay of horn quality for the hoof wall. His hoof wall would just crumble around the nails. We tried toe clips, quarter clips, and even shoes with toe clips and quarter clips. Nothing was helping his hoof wall not fall apart around the nails. Finally with no other options left we decided to cast his foot about a year back. This helps add stability back into a weakened capsule, while also helping hold his hoof together around the nails. I’m happy to say in this last year this guy has only lost one shoe since!

Leaving hoofcare too long doesn’t save money, it just leads to more pathology, imbalances and shortens the healthy life of joints.

Funky foot Friday! Here’s how we like to stabilize a horse with weak hoof walls if clips couldn’t help keep it on. This guy is foundered pretty severely in his hoof causing the weakened integrity.

One of our favorite modifications to help remove some of the pressure from the heels of a horses foot. It’s quick and simple! We took a piece of 3/4x5/16 bar stock to match the dimensions of our shoe. Used our handy little frog plate equation to find out how much stock to cut. Fold it in half, draw it out, weld it in, roll the toe and the lateral branch of the shoe, and boom we are ready for lift off!
