Horse Camp: Day 1

Today we learned a lot about how to halter & tie our horse, brushing & saddling, riding, safety & precautions around horses. We got to look at Roscoe’s teeth and feel his gums & tongue. We picked up his foot to feel the hardness of his sole & frog.
We also got to do some not so fun stuff that comes along with owning horses. We had to scrub all of the water tank, to get it nice & clean for our horses to drink out of. The hose got a little out of hand & cooled us off a bit.
