We snagged a ton of really amazing cats from a recent hoarding house a few weeks ago and somehow a bunch of them still haven’t been adopted! That baffles us daily because every single cat from that house has been absolutely perfect. This is Birdie, a 2 year old angel of a woman that just wants love 24/7. We’re open all weekend for cat snuggles, don’t miss out on these ladies! 💕

Sometimes the nicest cats go unnoticed for so long and it makes no sense. Jasmine is 6 and so mellow and sweet but months pass and she still waits for her forever home. She’s pretty perfect and would do well anywhere. It’s hard with the perfect, more mellow cats bc they just don’t “stand out” but we know the right person will come along and see Jasmine for the angel that she is!

We love Sharon!!!!! Sharon has been making the most amazing, incredible quality, cat always approved, cat mats, beds, hammocks and so much more! We got a fresh delivery last week and the cats are THRILLED!! While we want to be greedy and keep them all for our cats, we have a few in the store for sale to spread the happiness to other cats as well. Thank you Sharon and of course Jean for making cats so happy as always!!

Welcome baby Serafina!!! This sweet girl is about 7 months old and pure love 🩷 She was a TNR, hence the fresh eartip but way too innocent and sweet to be released back outside. She does great with everyone and would make the perfect addition to any home. Isn’t she really cute??!! 🥹

Somewhere there’s a rescue god and as you become experienced in certain ailments, they throw new ones at you. Almost like a game where you beat a board and the next one is harder. We have mastered colds, viruses, ringworm, most parasites, dehydration, cancer, and dental issues. Then the rescue gods threw us Blessing. This angel of a cat was adopted pretty quickly after we got him from the shelter bc of how laid back and sweet he is. He came to us with some scabs on his head but they cleared up fast with a prescription ointment. Fast forward 2 weeks and this poor boy, now named Miso, is a dermatological mystery. He’s been through 2 rounds of antibiotics, and a round of antifungal medication but his skin just keeps getting worse. Tonight he was seen for another vet visit and he will be having a biopsy of his skin tomorrow to help determine what fungus or bacteria is relentlessly attacking his poor face and toes. Despite the hell he’s been faced with he is in such great spirits and has such an amazing family who loves him so much. Please keep this sweet boy in your thoughts for his procedure tomorrow. 🥺

Does everyone remember Ranger, the cat who went to live as the resident cat at an assisted living? Well as you probably have seen in updates, he’s loving his life there!!! He’s front row at every performance & art activity, and everyone loves him!! Well before we got him he had a plate surgically placed into his arm to fix a fracture. He always had a little limp and held the arm up most of the time, but throughout the year living at his new home, the limp got worse, and he seemed to be in pain. After multiple vet visits and medication trials, an xray showed that Ranger’s plate had broken somehow. Maybe during a rough art and crafts session???? 🤪

The vets who did Ranger’s initial surgery decided to repair it. The plan for that was remove the broken plate, cast the arm, and keep him on cage rest for 8 weeks. After that time he would be re- xrayed to see if the arm healed, and if not, another plate would be placed and 8 more weeks of cage rest would follow. This plan seemed so uncertain but we complied. By week 2 on cage rest here, Ranger is MISERABLE. He wants to run free and go back with his Sunrise family. He stopped eating and got a terrible cold at one point, but he’s better now. As you can see I let him out of the cage this week. We had to make a difficult decision but after many consults and a ton of research and experience, we have decided that amputation is best. He will have the arm that’s caused him non stop pain and problems, removed tomorrow morning. I am confident that this is the best option long term and right now.

Please keep Ranger in your thoughts today and tomorrow and we will update you on how he is doing! The recovery for an amputation is much less than most orthopedic surgeries, and we cannot wait for his new pain free life ❤️🚑🫶🏻

Sometimes people assume that Nala is a cafe cat and not adoptable bc we found some crazy sh*t out about her, or bc of how horribly mean she is. If you think her fake bites and gentle swats are enough for us to deem her unadoptable, you haven’t known us long enough. We have gotten some real nightmares adopted, and they’re angels in their homes. Every pot has a cover and every cat has a family who is perfect for them.

Ever since (and even before) Nala started hanging out up front for most of her days, the staff here really fell in love with her and her quirks. Most of the cats we have here are happy enough for us not to actively worry about them, but we still know they’d be significantly happier in a home. Nala is incredibly happy here and makes it very well known all day every day. She’s so special to us that we really feel that she believes this is her home and we are her family, and all of you are just our friends who bother her when you come in. Pretty on point ✅

As annoying as it is to hear people call her mean 40x a day, we know the truth. She loves us, loves it here, and doesn’t want anyone to even think about stealing her away ❤️

Meet Juliet!! She is the most recent of 8 girls that we have rescued from a local hoarder house and she is being spayed today! Many of these girls were pregnant, and 2 gave birth before we were able to help them. Juliet feels a bit round but we won’t know if she is pregnant until later. Personally, I don’t even want to know. Juliet is a sweet princess who can’t wait to be fixed, and find a real forever home hopefully soon. Come meet our gorgeous ladies and show them the love they crave 👑🌸

Jasmine is still here waiting for a forever home and we’re honestly baffled. She’s a 6 year old gorgeous girl who absolutely loves everyone and everything. She lets us pick her up, snuggle her, and carry her around with no issues. If you’re looking for the perfect young girl, please don’t look any further than here!! We’re open all week for snuggles. 💕

How pretty do Coraline, Blanca, and Birdie look in their new bow ties!? All 3 of these girls are so special and unique looking, and have such loving personalities. They all came from the same hoarder house, and 2/3 were pregnant when we got them. Birdie was NOT. Let’s find these girls the best families ever 🩷

Today we’re throwing it back to 🎨🎃PUMPKIN PAINTING WITH CATS🎃🎨 of years past!! This is one of our favorite events because we get to hangout with all of you and see all of your awesome creations while listening to spoooooky music. 😻 We have TWO dates this year to make it easier for more people to join! Francis brings us so much happiness everyday I’m so happy we have him. He would probably appreciate a real home and family to lounge around with though. He’s really amazing with the kittens and other cats here and would be a perfect addition to literally any family. He’s 12 and perfect. We have the best cats right now 🥺❤️

If you have been following us for a while you know that we are HUGE into elderly cats who are often overlooked. Trish here is quite literally the most perfect super senior lady who loves to relax but also would do anything in the world to get some human food. 😂😂 She knows the second a chicken walks thru the front door, and if you have any kind of food with you for the day you can forget about eating the whole thing yourself. Today Trish got a rotisserie chicken lunch with a Greek yogurt dessert. We wish we could live life the way Trishie does. 😂 We’re open all weekend long, including Monday, please bring Trish a treat. 😘

How in the world is this tiny angel not yet adopted? River is 9 years old with a cloudy eye and perpetual blep, and all she wants is a lap to sit on. Maybe it’s because she’s a passive lover and doesn’t beg for affection, but I will tell you this. If you sit near her cat tree and give her a few pets, she will be your best buddy. She’s really one of the greatest cats so give her a chance and make sure you look for her when you visit. She’s been a little sad these days but we know her happy ending is coming soon 🩷

I HATE a sudden decline 🥺 Pauline has had a rough 2 days and I’m really praying it’s going to pass. Her bloodwork tonight showed that she’s a bit dehydrated and we can fix that, but why so suddenly? Her kidneys aren’t terrible, and the rest is just age related things so we have to take it day by day and hope the daily fluids help. This is so sad.

SunChip and Tostito are not really sure how they’re still here at the cafe without finding their forever home, and honestly we aren’t either!!!! They’re about a year and a half old and so so amazing. I mean, just look at their wig. 💇🏻‍♀️ Don’t fret, the cat under them is just a stuffed animal, so you don’t need to take all three. 🤪😉

Sad boy Egg Noodle is feeling a lot less sad. He really worried me for a minute but he’s eating and responding well to pets and other cats. He even gave me a slight smack when I brushed his mat too hard. Good for you EggNood!!!!

He’s hanging out in a shark pod in the back room so make sure to give him some love when you visit ❤️🥚🍜
