Recently an amazing woman was involved in a horrible accident. Rescuer, animal advocate, incredible human being, Verbena Santo was hit by a car while food shopping and is in such terrible condition that she likely will not be retuning home. She cared for many cats including 10 of her own, and a few colonies. We were able to take in one of hers yesterday. All we knew was that he’s a senior man, and we named him Cornelius.
This is the sweetest cat, and he seems pretty old. After spending the day with him I realized he’s blind 🥹 So here he is, moved out of his home, doesn’t know where his mom or cat friends are, or where anything is, learning a new layout and environment while just trying to live his old man life. I took him home for the weekend which will likely turn into forever.
‼️There are millions of cats for me to save and bring home so if an incredibly affectionate, blind old man interests you, send a message. He’s honestly perfect. If he leaves my home it will only be to go to a better home with someone who is around for longer periods of time. He’s a cat who needs to be loved and thats it! No constant vet appointments, no poking and prodding, no stressing him for no reason. He needs a lap and a blanket and after Monday I’m at the cafe all day T-Sat. I love him and this is the least we can do for Verbena. She did so much for cats and the world 💔
