We aren’t totally sure how Sunny isn’t adopted yet but our mental health is thankful. He can really make any stressful moment, a relaxing one. Just put him in your lap and all the stress goes away ☀️ He’s the true definition of a lap cat and best friend
Brett has been with us at the cafe for a few weeks now and is finally fully coming out of his shell! Tonight during quiet hours he had been zooming around the cafe with all of his new friends (and spring toys!). He is a little over a year old and as sweet as can be. Brett is absolutely going to make a family very, VERY happy! 😻 We’re open 11-7 tomorrow, come hangout and make new friends. 💕
She’s making us all crazy!!! And by us all, I mean me! But no, she’s not making anyone crazy, she’s just amazing and I’m so happy she found us!! Is she the messiest mess I’ve ever met? Sure! Does she have perfect bloodwork but still request 10 cans of food per day? Also sure! But she’s 18 and deserves any and everything she could ever want 🩷 A day in the life of Pauline.
There’s nothing better than watching cats grow and get comfortable here. Perry was in a high up, kind of hidden cage at the shelter when we went in July, but the minute I pet him I knew we had to take him. He had been there for a few months with a foot injury that was repaired, but after the required cage rest it was determined that he will always have a little limp. And it’s an adorable limp that doesn’t stop him from getting around perfectly, and being an incredibly loving guy. He has been primarily in the back room comforting scared cats and taking in his surroundings…….til this week!!!!
Perry is out and he’s not going back! He’s super loving to his peers and can tell when they need a little emotional support. He seems like at one point in his life he has an amazing owner because the love he gives is unmatched. I think any cat would be lucky to have him join their family, but he would do fine as an only cat as well. He’s just really perfect. He’s about 2 years old 🩷
We love our cats and the cafe is a great way to showcase them and show their personalities out of cages BUT, it’s so true that they blossom and become their absolute best selves once they get home. We see this time and time again- people say a cat is mean or too shy or not cuddly enough, and the second they get adopted, we see just how amazing they are! They need to feel less overwhelmed and overstimulated to really come out of their shells. Trust us when we tell you about our cats and we will never steer you wrong.Acorn and I are working on some diet trials and he will be ready for a forever family. I feel terrible having him in a room by himself but it’s not forever! Tonight we try duck! Wish us luck ❤️
In rescue some weeks seem like they’re the actual end of the world, while others remind you that it’s not. Last week was rough and I feel that this week will be great. Cross your paws for us 🩷
Hi from Oliver our little tilted head sweetie boy. He would make a great buddy for any cat or human or both! He’s had some ear troubles in his stray days but they’re long behind him! He’s ready for his forever family!
Guess who got neutered and all the fun things today?? Zucchini!! He’s ready for his forever home, and whoever is lucky enough to adopt him, will get one million muffins per day 🧁🩷 This little CH angel is adjusting really well to the cafe and getting so much love everyday. Cerebellar hypoplasia doesn’t get better and it doesn’t get worse for the cats who have it, and it’s not sad! They live incredible normal happy lives just like any other cat. I hate when people see him and say “that’s so sad, poor thing.” He’s happy, he’s loved, he doesn’t know he’s different, and that’s what’s so great about cats. They just live their little lives. We have some really beautiful girls over here 🩷 Top of the box is Jill, a 10 year old love bug and in the box is Nicolette, a one year old playful princess! Both cats are amazing for whatever speed you’re looking for, and both would love forever homes!
Walter ❤️ This boy has come a long way since he came to us a couple of weeks ago. His owner passed away suddenly so naturally he was very confused, but he’s made a full 180 and is ready for his next chapter. He’s a 5 year old, front declawed 😣 gentle boy who just loves to be loved. He loves other cats and loves humans and would do with anyone who showed him the love he deserves ❤️ He usually hangs out in the back so make your way back there to visit him.
I hate when people are like “I like the kittens bc they’re small”, because guess what???? Kittens grow into cats!!!!! But this beauty queen, Sprinkles, is a true permakitten!!!! She’s almost a year old and teeny tiny! She is new here so she’s adjusting in a little safe zone but she’s precious!!!! She rolls and kneads when you pet her, and curls her little toes!!! Come meet her and give her some love. She’s absolutely beautiful and does great with humans and other cats 🩷
I deleted my post bc I don’t want to be going back and forth with triggered ER techs all day. My message is clear. Educate yourself before allowing a vet or anyone else to cause you alarm. Educate the uneducated ones as well. I love vets and their staff I just don’t like misinformation or people who thrive on making people panic over nothing.
In summary- FIV+ and FIV- cats can live together. Don’t euthanize or freak out over ringworm. FIP meds are available and not as expensive as they once were. Don’t put a cat down just bc they may need a little extra care. And yes, some places are a bit unethical in pricing and practice and I’m not deleting that.
Some vets are against rescues and I’m never deleting that either. Some vets literally hate rescues, and these are the vets I was posting about. Advocate for yourself and your pet.
“4 tough guys walk into a bar”………you know the rest. Now, I’m not saying any of our males are BAD, bc they aren’t. Each one is a true sweetheart, BUT, the mixture is maddening 🤣🤣 It’s literally like having a bunch of hormonal 16-17 year old sons who have to share a room.

Zucchini had a nice first day at the cafe with us. He had a messy night so we started the day with breakfast & a bath. He settled into a nice, cozy spot and soaked up all the love he was given all day. He’s relaxing a lot, eating well, and seems to like it here. He’s such a loving little guy and would complete any family he ends up in! CH cats are so special and we are thrilled to have him with us for now. 🩷To donate to his vet care:

Whenever I say we are completely full over here, I come across someone who really needs us. This 6 month old baby boy was being cared for outside in a colony at a daycare in Brooklyn, NY. It’s very clear that this guy has CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia), which is also known as wobbly cat syndrome.
We have had many CH cats here and we know how amazing they are!! A kind woman saw the post and offered to transport him to us so here he is! We named this baby, Zucchini! He is so sweet and special, as CH cats always are. He has an appointment to go to the vet for testing, vaccines, and to be neutered, and then he will be ready for adoption! Each of our staff at the cafe have at least one cat in their mind that they’re baffled doesn’t have any applications yet, and mine is Trinket!! He is a super sweet 5 year old boy with a uniquely amazing personality. And honestly how can people say no to this face? This little weirdo absolutely LOVES drinking from the bathroom faucet and will wait there patiently until someone turns it on for him. 🥺💕 I think he’s been overlooked because of the insane amount of kittens we currently have, so if you or someone you know is looking for a nice calm gentleman- please send them our way! Fluffy baby Licorice and all of his cat and kitten friends eat A LOT!!!!!! We have about 40 cats plus kittens right now, and more coming this week and all we have is paté!! All cats adjust at their own pace, and have their own “phases” but these are generally how they go. Phase 1 is freeze and hide. We let them do that for as long as they need but still make sure they’re eating and getting love. Phase 2 involves coming out and maintaining caution but accepting some pets and allowing people to see them. Phase 3 is 90-100% out and full personality shining, while finally trusting us and the setting they are in. Brett reached phase 3 this weekend! Him and his 3 buddies came in a couple of weeks ago, after spending months in a foster home. From a home setting to the cafe is a bit of culture shock, and we are so proud of him!! He will still hangout up high but when he feels the love, he is so happy and relaxed. He’s a year old and would do amazing in any home! 🧡🧡
Summer is nearing the end and it’s finally time to start getting back into an established routine! My super senior queen Pauline is thriving!!!!! She eats like crazy though! No bloodwork issues just a true foodie! She might be in the top 2 messiest eaters I’ve ever met!!!! She’s such a fun cat, nothing bothers her, she doesn’t have a single care in the world other than when her next can will be served to her! I’ve gotta get a video of her running bc it’s pure joy like a baby deer 🩷 ADOPT A SENIOR RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!

Willow is the prettiest princess in all of the land 👑 She’s a little under a year old and stays in her little pink flower bed waiting for belly rubs. She rolls around and just LOVES being loved. She’s not really ready to run around the cafe and be super outgoing just yet, but she will happily welcome you to her pod if you promise lots of pets🩷 She does great with other cats, as well as dogs.
Ours 1700th adoption was a HUGE one that we decided deserved her own post. 😻 Queen May has finally found her forever home!! May has been overlooked for months and months for no reason, we’ve honestly all been baffled about it time and time again. 😢 She must have known her real forever home was coming and she didn’t mind the wait. 💕 May sat herself in the most random spots around the cafe, they were all guaranteed to give us a laugh. If you saw how many May pictures were in my phone you’d think I was a crazy stalker. 🤪 We’re SO excited four our little lady and can’t wait to see her absolutely thrive in her home. We know she’ll find an odd spot to lay in no time. 💕
Meet Baby Grover! This little floofball is a little shy at first but the second you get your hands on him he’s the most playful, cuddly, roly poly baby boy! Last night we featured 3 year old orange fluffy man, Baloo, but tonight we would like to introduce 5 month old lady, Baloo!! She’s REALLY fun and SUPER cuddly and would make a perfect addition to any family. Her foster described her as, “an actual monkey”, but I have yet to see this side of her. She came to us last night and she’s been exploring, playing, and napping like a perfect angel! She would do well in any home 🩷

This is Baloo, like the bear from The Jungle Book. He was appropriately named bc he’s an actual teddy bear!! He’s 3 years old and the most easy going guy. Some of the dominant males over here mess w him a bit but it’s clearly jealousy, which is sad bc they’re beautiful too!! He doesn’t take them seriously and he just goes on about his peaceful little day ❤️ Whoever gets him is truly lucky. He would do well with literally anyone.
