We are turning seven! For this day only we are doing ‘pay what you’d like’ admission! All funds raised go right back into the rescue so we can continue doing what we love to do - saving cats!!!! On September 28, 2018 we opened the doors of The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe and we are so happy we did!!!! And we’d like to celebrate it with you. 💕

THANK YOU!!!!! To everyone who has visited, shown us love from near and far, and to those who have adopted from us! Our hearts are warmed everyday by the love that we get from you all and the cats are forever thankful!

We will have a TON of raffle baskets that will run from this event until the night of October 11th where we will be having a Chinese auction type of event here!!🎂 Along with the raffle baskets at our birthday we will also have snacks and special treats for purchase. 😍 Donations can be made via Venmo, PayPal, or In Person on the day of the event.

🎈To book a spot to our birthday bash on Saturday, September 27th from 11-8 go over to our website and click on calendar of events where you will find ‘We’re Seven!!’ To reserve your spot! PLEASE only reserve one spot per person, we’d like everyone to be able to have a turn to see the cats and kittens. We are so lucky to be able to continue this journey and find lots more cats their forever homes! Please join us and book soon bc spots are limited! 💓

Rocky sat in his donut for hours waiting for someone to come by and play with him. He’s a 2 year old kitten who loves everyone and everything. He plays and play and plays with whoever will play with him, and if no one gives in, he plays alone. He’s such a great boy who has been through a lot and would do amazing in any home ❤️😜

Oh Archie!!!!! This poor boy is itchy again!! Luckily we know why this time. We ordered a slightly different variety of his rabbit dry and wet food- same brand, same protein, but must have missed the slightly different colored labels! After seeing him go downhill the week we went to the ingredients and this variety has multiple ingredients that he’s allergic to 😩 I feel so bad!!!

One of 5 pages of his allergy testing is shown here. The closer the value is to 100+, the higher the allergy level, and this boy is FULL of allergies. Luckily I think this was just an oversight and once he’s back on his boring grain free rabbit only diet, he will be back to improving everyday. It must be horrible to have to eat the same exact thing every single day, but scratching yourself raw is worse.

If anyone would like to buy Archie a bag of food, some cans, or some rabbit only treats, I added them to our Amazon wish list. I will be doing some more research to try and find treats that he is able to have that won’t cause him major flareups. He’s the boy in the bubble and we love him so much 🩷 If anyone wanted to adopt him, I’d happily pay for his food for the rest of his life. He deserves so much more than the lobby of a cat cafe.

Did you guys know that we also have a Kitten Lounge?! We have had the lounge open since June and it’s right next to the Cat Cafe! It runs the same where it’s $17 per person for the hour and you get to snuggle with a plethora of adoptable little angels. 🥹 Not sure how to choose? Well we ALSO have an in person special where you get to do a full hour on both sides for only $30 per person! 2 full hours of cat and kitten snuggles for only $30? Count me in ASAP. You can sign up for either side on our website, or come on down. Just a little tip that shoes aren’t allowed in the kitten lounge, so plan accordingly! We’re open Tuesdays-Sunday. See you soon 😜

We all need a day to relax, get off of social media, and pet cats. They never judge or hurt anyone (on purpose), and that’s why we dedicate our lives to saving them. Today, Friday, come unplug and disconnect from the world for a bit with cats and kittens. The Cat Cafe & Kitten Lounge will both be free of charge from open to close. They need your love just as much as you need theirs 🩷

Have you ever? And this isn’t a “I happened to get a good pic” this is her face always. This is Jaws. We thought Jaws was a boy until we read through her paperwork and realized she’s a pretty little GIRL 🎀🌸💕 This princess came into the shelter with a broken jaw and some other bumps and bruises. Well her jaw is all healed and she’s ready for a new start in life, but she does have one important special need. She can’t eat hard food.

It seems like Jaws is basically inhaling any type of hard, non bisque consistency food, and it causes her to choke for hours after even one Temptation. This might change in the future when she learns to chew better w her newly healed jaw, but right now she needs soft. She doesn’t even attempt the dry food, she seems to be learning what’s best for her 🥹

Jaws is a young adult and if you meet her, you can’t NOT love her. She’s like a cartoon character full of love 🩷

Look at Pixie 🥹🩷 We got this baby yesterday and she’s THE CUTEST THING ON EARTH!!!! She’s only about 3-4 months and incredibly sweet. She’s not blind but as an infant she had a bad bad eye infection which caused it to heal a little bit cloudy. She can see and she’s excited to begin her search for her forever home!!
