✨ Introducing lil miss Ella ✨

This sweetie is a five year old Chihuahua that was surrendered because her former owners had to move the very next day, and couldn't take her with them.

Upon intake we noticed she had a small limp, so we investigated and found she had a nail curving between her toe pads. After a nail trim and some forehead kisses, she was back to walking normal and ready to meet her foster family 😌

She is now settling into her new foster home, routine and will be seen by the vet on Tuesday!

All of our wildlife babies have been successfully transferred for pre release, and we are now CLOSED to all wildlife intakes for the remainder of the year!

A little ✨sneak peek✨ from vaccine day for the former bottle baby raccoons. Release time is coming fast!

Did you know that raccoons need vaccinations before release to protect them from deadly diseases and illness? Well now you do!

Each raccoon that comes into any rescue, costs about $500 EACH to raise before they are able to be released. Please support your local wildlife rehabilitators and rescuers.

We couldn't have gotten through the season if it wasn't for Rocky Start Rescue helping us though, we are beyond thankful for their support. We look forward to working closely with them in the upcoming seasons!

What a beautiful and productive Sunday morning!

Huge shout-out to Ingham County Sheriff's Office for contacting us about an injured adult raccoon needing help. They also named it Fred, and we are for sure keeping that name!

Fred is a spicy ✨lady✨ that appears to have been hit by a vehicle or suffered a nasty fall of some kind. Please send healing vibes this way so she can hopefully make a full recovery- updates will be posted as we know more ♥️

We heard about a skinny kitten hanging around the Family Dollar on Cooper, it was almost getting hit by cars on the daily trying to find food and shelter. Just one small dude- all by itself.
So we did what we do, and we caught the cutie.

We are looking for cute/silly/unique name ideas for this kitty- we are burnt out and need some fresh name ideas to put in the hat ♥️

Keep in mind a huge secondary kitten wave is hitting right before the cold season, pleaseeeee be patient with rescues.. a lot of us are still full and struggling from the first wave 🥺

Another two sweetie pies heading off to Saved by Zade !!

'Handsome' had an owner once upon a time, but he passed away and this poor baby was left behind. Now his fur is all patchy and he is covered in scabs.. but now he can heal. It was rumoured he was declawed- thankfully he is not! ♥️

We called the second one 'sweetie' but I'm sure he will get a cool name while he waits for his forever family. He was found and rescued by a kind lady named Barb, we don't know much about him- but now he doesn't have to beg for lovins on the streets. 🐈💞

Got a call about these two little ones, we don't take tube-babies YET.. but we couldn't just leave these babies to be eaten alive. And that's exactly what happens when fly eggs hatch 🤧

Apologies for the lack of updates, we reallllly needed a social hiatus! Rescue is very stressful and it's very important to know when you need a bit of a break ♥️

With that being said, here's our newest intakes. A feral mama and her lil ones, there were three babies but sadly the youngest one didn't make it.
These cuties were living under trucks and trailers in a very busy industrial area, they were struggling and all of them are skin and bones. Weight gain is the biggest goal for this bunch at the moment.

With mama being feral we will be looking at a safe place near her original "home" to re release her after she's fixed through an upcoming clinic.
Willing to sponsor her surgery? It's only $55 and it ensures no more babies for this pretty lady! If we exceed our goal, it will sponsor another feral from the Jackson neighborhoods ♥️

We have been focusing on wildlife a lot lately, but we are phasing out because once the fall chill is here - they won't be able to be released until springtime. Our last bunch of raccoon babies should be released in the upcoming weeks!

If anyone is willing to help with supplies, we would be extremely grateful- kitten chow, wet cat food, gloves and paper towels are what's needed the most.

We are a donation based rescue, we rely on the help of the community to continue rescuing around the city.

Catch-up/Update

These cuties patooties stayed with us for a bit until there was availability with another rescue. They have already been transferred BUT meet Flareon, Peaches and Ichigo anyways!

Flareon was found in the middle of third st, matted, sick and SKINNY - you might have seen him posted in the local lost and found groups..sadly nobody claimed him and he wasn't doing very well on his own.

Peaches and Ichigo were found in a friend's shed, and they almost ended up as barn kitties. (For cats their size, it's a death sentence) So we stepped in and educated said friend on why tiny kittens make awful barn cats. Now they have a chance for a long and amazing life!

All three of these babies are currently with, and will eventually be available to adopt through Saved by Zade ♥️
