⚠️ Graphic (ish) Photos ⚠️

Unexpected late-Night rescue mission.. HUGE thank you to Saved by Zade for taking these two kitties.

The first one pictured was hit by a car, over a MONTH ago- he was first reported to us on May 16th and then he crawled off somewhere. We thought he passed away with how extensive his injuries were described as.. but we found him today when on a separate task.

Thats where the second kitty- Knothead comes in, he was actually the reason the first one was able to be caught and squeezed in!
Knothead was on the wait-list for a whileeee, and it was finally his turn to be saved (by zade lol)

We cannot thank our sister rescues enough for all of their hard work and help with cases like this 💗

Believe it or not, we rescue more than JUST raccoons.. but here's some more of our recent babies 😅

Please be kind to our planet, so many little ones are being orphaned or kidnapped from their moms. We genuinely need to do better as a species.
This is the worst baby season we have ever seen, and not just for raccoons.. for everything.

We are so very thankful to everyone that has donated anything at any point. Some days are discouraging but then I'm reminded that there are lots of supportive people in the community- also wanting and willing to help achieve change around our cities. So we will continue this journey for as long as possible! 💗

At the moment we are still desperately in need of formula, gloves, syringes, paper towels and disinfectant.
Any help is greatly appreciated, our small and weaning bottle babies rely heavily on these items.

We are saddened to say that Timone (our fly strike case) didn't survive. Even after extensive measures the lil one passed away early yesterday morning.

He put up a good fight, but his poor system was too compromised and the maggots did too much damage before he came to us. 😞

This one hit pretty hard, I wish we could save them all.

We got our first case of fly strike yesterday 😔

This little guy and it's sibling were approaching people at a Lansing campground, it was very clear they needed help. Thankfully some workers stepped in and contacted everyone they could, us included.

We asked our normal questions and wanted to help find alternative placement because of how full we are.. but once we heard the words "fly eggs"- the clock started ticking.
During intake we noticed that not only was this guy infested with eggs, he also had hatched maggots in his re**um already. He was being eaten alive.
We got right to work dry combing as many eggs out as possible, and administered diluted capstar to kill the active bugs. We will be combing him several times a day for the next week or so to make sure none are missed.

He isn't out of the woods yet though, please keep this cutie in your thoughts and we will post updates as soon as we are able 💗

For overall donations - right now we desperately need formula, capstar or capaction for fleas and maggots, gloves and baby cereal. Thank you so much for considering us and helping with the local wildlife!

Our flying squirrel friend was transferred over to a lady named Theresa that is licensed and specializes in flyers and has others for her to socialize with!
Annnnnnd then when meeting up with our transportation - they found these two in the road 🥴 Thankfully there are some upcoming transfers pending for our oldest batches of babies!

We now have a wait list of almost 20 babies long now and we are struggling immensely. EVERYONE is finding babies left and right.

We hate to say this again, but we are once again almost out of formula and are down to our last can of baby cereal for weaning, if you're willing to help with ANY baby supplies- we would be extremely thankful 💗

Yesterday was a hard day.

We were requested to help with a raccoon that was hit by a car, then the plan was to take it to Marley's Castle Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation. Simple enough right?

We were told it was a baby- but then a volunteer showed up and it was an ADULT in a hot tote.
When she lifted the lid to give it some air, the supposedly lethargic adult raccoon decided to take the opportunity and hippity hopped out of the tote and into/around her vehicle. He is still very injured, but for some reason he got a burst of energy (probably adrenaline).
He was urinating blood and puking all over her vehicle.. she couldn't get him secured safely and then he went into her dashboard, sooooo we started zooming up to Lansing.

We had to stop for gas before hitting the highway. Then it turns out, the young lady at the gas station had a baby raccoon that needed help. So we scooped her up too and took her with us in hopes something would work out because she was in BAD shape. Sadly she passed away 20 minutes before arriving at Marley's 😔

We are hoping the big guy makes it, he's honestly in the best hands now so he has a solid chance! If you want to donate to his care- please message Marley's Castle directly!!! She gets the majority of trauma cases in Southern Michigan and does an amazing job at saving those that can be saved 💗

SOMEONE is happy to be released 🤣

We named this spicy kitty 🌿 Basil 🌿 and it took us over TWO years to catch him!!!

We are behind on proper updates, and even more behind on sleep...

We are now up to twelve raccoon babies, most are still on the bottle- but a good majority are weaning already (we are BLOWING through formula, baby cereal and bananas at the moment. 🦝

The rescue is currently on intake hold until we can transfer some of these older babies, we simply just do not have the space, resources or time to spread ourselves thinner than we already are. If you're interested in learning how to become a wildlife rehabber, please message us!!! This is one of the worst seasons we have ever seen.

The toad has a mangled leg from a yard tiller, we aren't sure what can be done- but Kayla of Wild Whiskers is gonna help us and see what his/her options are. If everything goes according to plan, they go to the vet tomorrow!

We are always in need of formula, gloves, baby cereal, wet cat and dog food, and any form of enrichment 💗

We need some enrichment while we grow and we keep getting crusty poopz on our crinkle and ti**le bawls. Bonus if you can sneaks us anything that has a squeaker- foster lady says it's obnoxiouz but we think it's funny!
