All Mama Bella wants for Christmas is her FOREVER family!!!

She will always be a part of the HLAR fam- but she has been waiting for her forever home for over a year now.
Bella and her two sons (Kody and RJ) were abandoned outside on tie outs with nothing last year right before Christmas. All three of them are still in foster with no serious adoption inquiries all year.

This sweet girl is super well mannered and loves to snuggle, a trait that might just be genetic - cause her boys do the same thing with their foster mum!
She is the best couch potato, she's great with kids, other dogs and cats too!

This is Mickey 🍔🍟

Our board members were dispatched to the east side McDonald's yesterday morning after reports of a tiny feral kitten running around the drive thru area. After some looking- we found where he was hiding and secured this cutie. It was determined once we examined him, that he wasn't injured or feral.. just scared!

We are still on a solid intake hold due to the lack of space and funding- so we transferred him and Mickey will now be available for adoption through the Jackson County Animal Shelter and Animal Control ❤️

We got a message about an indoor kitty from the Concord area that had gotten out and disappeared A WEEK before the family had to move back to Florida.

They looked all over for her, but there was no sign of her. When she finally came back home, everyone was already gone.
Willow was VERY loved though, and a family member contacted us about catching her so she can be reunited and taken to Florida!!!

So that's what we did this weekend!

With help from the owners sister, we found where Willow was hunkered down and we successfully secured her.
She is with the sister now and will be cared for and taken to Florida once the owners have a chance to come up and get her! 🥹💜

Wisner is still searching for his forever home! 😿

Wisner, who we took into the rescue at 6-weeks old, is now around 5-months old. He has been neutered (with ear tip), vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He loves to be babied, play with other kitties, and to make the cutest little meows. While Wisner is a total lovebug, he is shy at first due to his traumatic past.

It's very important with the cold months coming to keep any stray fleas in check! We still have some monthly topicals on hand but we are all out of oral flea meds and honestly could use both 🥲

Today Flora's litter was transferred to Jackson County Animal Shelter and Animal Control. Due to lack of adoption applications, we made this decision so the kittens would get more eyes on them and to their forever homes more quickly while they are still little. They will be available for adoption there today after they are fixed and vaccinated.

Their mother, Flora, is being spayed, vaccinated, and triple tested today as well. She is still looking for her forever home. She is just a couple years old and looking for soft home where she can finally be the baby herself. Flora is extremely affectionate and gets along with other cats as well 💗🐈

Thank you to everyone who donated anything towards raising this litter. They are all so happy, healthy, and affectionate. We couldn't have done it without the support from all of you 🌈
