Icings: Both homemade butter cream frosting and Marshmallow fondant and regular fondant keep in mind Regular Fondant it looks beautiful, but not everyone likes it. For this reason I make a Marshmallow fondant to cover cakes, I may use regular fondant for molding and decorations if needed. Butter cream can usually be smoothed to look more like fondant if you like the look but prefer only butter cream it just does not have that crisp look of fondant.
