I’ve been visiting Benji twice a day most of this week. Today was the first time I was able to work with him out of his kennel and he did awesome! He’s a scared boy and I’m just giving him time to realize I’m not a threat and that the world isn’t out to get him.

Today’s training included a trip to the duck pond.

Today’s full agenda was:
-Car ride to drop off my daughter at daycare, no dog stops
-Car ride to dog park, Nanouk’s first time inside with multiple dogs. We said outside the fence most of the time, but when I was sure he would be safe, we stepped inside briefly for a couple greetings from polite small dogs.
-Trip to the pet store for close up desensitization work.
-Trip to park to visit duck pond and a short photo shoot.
-Puck up daughter from daycare and car ride home.
-Trip to different park so my daughter could play. The dogs worked on learning to settle with strangers around them.

My two excitable dogs enjoyed a full day: two trips to the dog park, training, trip to the pet store, and evening in the park.
