Dr. Ricardo Videla began VetMed4All while a faculty member on our farm animal medicine and surgery service. Each year several of our students have the opportunity to travel to vulnerable rural areas in Argentina and learn different aspects of veterinary medicine and leave behind a meaningful impact on the communities they served. Congratulations to Dr. Seth Krantz (UTCVM '10) on being the first appointee from Tennessee named to the 15-member National Pork Board. Krantz, who has held a leadership position with Tosh Farms/Tosh Pork/Bacon by Gosh for twelve years, has been involved in several producer-led task forces and has assisted with projects regarding foreign animal disease prevention, preparedness, and response. https://www.ams.usda.gov/content/usda-announces-national-pork-board-appointments-4
