After a long overdue introduction, we at Butler Veterinary Services would like to extend a HUGE welcome to DR. MORGAN RAY!! Why in such bold exclamation? Because, we have anticipated this day for the last four years while Dr. Ray was in vet school. She is no stranger to the veterinary world as she was a veterinary technician with Dr. Butler since the opening of our clinic. In total, she has already been helping clients and patients for over 9 years with her prior experience. Many of your pets have already had appointments with Dr. Ray and each patient gravitates toward her. As much as I’d like to tell you that her secret is keeping treats in her pockets, I honestly don’t know how she does it. She genuinely loves and adores each dog, cat, goat, horse, and even cow she meets, and all patients, big and small, reciprocate the love toward her.

Outside of caring for everyone else’s furry companions, Dr. Ray enjoys time with her lab, Zeus, and horse, Durango. She very much values spending time with family and soon, she’ll be tying the knot with her fiancé, Eric (talk about multi tasking). She loves diy projects, celebrating birthdays, and horseback riding.
All in all, Dr. Ray is a well rounded personality that compliments our doctoral team beautifully. We are very thankful she chose Butler Veterinary Services to begin her career as a DVM and continue her passionate work in the veterinary field.

Here are some more “bugs” that we found on a puppy’s skin scrape today. These are demodex mites that feed in the hair follicles causing hair loss. If severe these mites will cause a condition sometimes referred to as red mange.
