Hesitant about hiring a professional dog trainer? Think of it as an investment, bringing a calm and enjoyment for the life of your dog. Do you have trouble controlling your dog? Do you avoid taking him out in public for fear of how he will react? Does she not listen to you, or is she pulling and dragging you while on leash? Is he dog or people aggressive? Or is there any unwanted negative behavior? Or did you just get a puppy and you want to make sure you start your new friend out right? We essentially not only train the dog but also work with the owner in providing the knowledge, skills, and understanding of the training and dog’s behaviors. We work with you, the owner, on an individual, personal, and case by case basis so that you and your dog will have a better home life and you will be a proud pet parent of a well-behaved dog when out in public. The freedom the dogs receive is a wonderful thing, you will see it in their eyes and in their attitude. You too will enjoy this freedom just as much.

As many of you already know me but some of you might not; my name is Scottie Greene. My passion for well over 30 years has been furthering my education and knowledge on communicating with dogs. Growing up I can't think of one moment that didn't include a dog of some type. I remember when I was 10 years old and competed in my very first dog obedience trial. His name was Rusty a Rottweiler and he was nearly as big as me. After taking home first place, I was hooked.
After serving my country abroad I returned home with the dream of working with dogs full time. I used my GI bill to search out and attend as many K9 seminars I possibly could. I also attended the Tennessee Police academy out of my own pocket to fulfill my dream of being a police K9 Officer. I was hired as a K9 Officer in Jonesborough TN and handed my first partner K9 Rio. After 7 years I left Jonesborough police department after K9 Rio retired and started in the private sector. I have contracted with top-notch cutting-edge companies whose mission is to fight terrorism globally. Along with contracts working alongside FEMA during national disasters.
After working the private sector for three years, I found myself back in Law Enforcement and K9. I was hired by the Greene County Sheriff's Department to start up their new K9 division. I am very happy to say that all four dogs trained solely by me were rescues pulled from pounds all over the country and passed all certifications with NADDA as dual-purpose police K9s.
I left law enforcement after getting married and moved to Seymour TN and started working for a company that trains dogs. In my time with that company I trained and maintained over 100 board and trains without a single issue from any clients. I also taught classes using my style of training at Sevierville city park. After an incident happened that painted that company in a bad light I decided it was time to break away and teach my way.
I have reconnected with my passion of training obedience. I'm not just a dog trainer who works with the dog. I'm a "People" trainer and my job is to train you how to train YOUR dog. I am proficient in the use of all training aids. I have been trained in the use of both Positive and Balanced methods. I will not try and make you "like" one form over another. I will explain the ups and downs of using both and let you decide.
Trainer: Sandra Sudduth A little bit about me and the story behind the idea of our Dog Club. Those that know me understand how much I love dogs (well, all animals really) and how I love to be active with fitness and outdoor activities. I can hardly remember a time that I haven’t had a dog by my side. I’ve had many different breeds including rottweilers, dobermans, lab/pit mix, a weimaraner, blue healers, hound dogs, a husky, plus mutts of various flavors. Basically, I have spent the most part of my life training my own dogs. After I met Scottie last year, and as I learned new things from him, I started taking the training to more advanced levels with broader activities with my two dogs; sharing my training skills with my friends & family. I quickly discovered how much I loved training and I made it a habit to continually learn more from Scottie and other trainers, soaking in new methods. Our lives are more enriched because of it too. With the obedience and respect my pups have for me and the trust we have with each other, our lives together are simply amazing. We have freedom. I don’t have to leave my dogs behind at home, I can confidently take them with me, we can do things together. I constantly look for new things for us to do together such as a find a cool store to go in, a new trail to hike, a new river to play in, or a new 5K to enter. During our travels, I am always complemented on how well my dogs behave am asked if I am a trainer – could I help them with their pets. The seed was being planted and I started thinking that training could be my next career. My career has been in Business Management. It’s been a great ride, but I’ve been looking to make a change – to do something that I feel passionate about. A few years ago, I became a Ski Instructor and then a Ski Patroller. From this, I learned another new passion. Both in the sport itself and in teaching others & sharing the positive energy the sport can bring. But of course, this is only a seasonal privilege. Aside from my addition of skiing and boarding, I have been into fitness just about my whole life in one sport or another. It could be riding my bike, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, running, fishing, or whatever. In general, I thrive on being able to be outdoors and it’s even better when I can include my dogs. So, what does a love of animals, a desire for a meaningful career, a love of fitness, and the gift of teaching have to do with one another and how does it relate to dog training? The vision is to put these passions together, to add on to the initial obedience training. By forming our Dog Club, this program not only benefits the dogs but also us people. It’s a great way to keep both our K9 friends and ourselves in good physical shape (or get us IN shape.) It’s also a great way to allow us the opportunity to keep the dogs socialized and to get us involved with one another as a community – our own dog loving community. In addition to all these benefits, it brings opportunity to provide refresher obedience tips if needed. It’s an on-going training support system along with being an ongoing social network Scottie, Karrie, and I had talked on several occasions about starting a dog training company to where we could have the freedom to train our way – based on the individual client need & to make it personal. With the way we met, and the way things came together, I feel it was our destiny to do this. And now here we are, that’s the way things came together. This is not something that I’m doing because I need to, it’s because I love the training, love the results, and want to share it with others.
Trainer Karrie Greene (as written by Scottie Greene) This beautiful gift from God is my wife Karrie Greene. Six years ago when we meet Karrie was totally new to the dog world. She expressed to me that she wanted to learn how to train dogs just like me. I remember telling her that a person should never learn how to do something just like someone else. I told her I would show her the ropes but her style would be her style and that's how she would grow as a trainer. Karrie is five years into her journey as a trainer and many of the likes on this page comes from her following. She doesn't ride on my coattails and isn't know as the "trainers wife". She is known as an outstanding trainer and has helped many families with their pet. Being a single mother of two along with being a grandmother she has patience and calmness of a stone cold military operator! It's this ability that makes Karrie an outstanding trainer.
