For fun, here are some 5 week olds. I think the heat has affected their condition, but hopefully they jump back and bulk up quickly. The open spotted tri is a little wild, but she’s really cute!

I took my jr tri doe from Luso Weimaraners and Rex Rabbitry out to look at today. It was hot out, but she still was easy to handle. She’s going to be a nice addition to my tri herd 🙂

This 3.5 month old black buck is staying here for now. He has really nice fur coming in and has consistently had a solid build. He had some nice comments from the judges on his first show. I’m excited to see how he matures.

He’s out of a broken amber and black/orange tri. He carries chocolate and I’ll need to test breed to figure out if he carries brindle or tort.

These two lovely does are looking for a new tri program. The blue fawn tri is 15 weeks old. The opal is 6 months old and lightly harlequinized. Both have nice fur texture. I’ll be at the Cashmere show this weekend if anyone wants to look them over in person.

This jr broken amber buck is adorable! Amber is the chocolate version of castor. I have three identical bucks that I need to choose from, which is a good problem to have 🙂

My 4 grow outs at 12 weeks and a cull (who was my favorite at 6 weeks). It takes up space and resources to keep them longer, but this is why I do it 🥲. First two pictures are bucks and 3&4 are does. The first buck is already 6lbs! The rest are each hovering around 5lbs.

I’ve decided to let this girl move along. She’s 5 months and ready to produce some lovely tris. I wanted to get a few litters from her, but need to make some hard cuts on the herd. Message me for more info on her.

I went out to check on my sweet little doe out of Patches and Gordo, and she let me watch her give birth to 14 kits! That is a huge litter, especially for a first time mom. Twix is due in a few days, so hopefully I can foster a few over to her.

Thought I’d share pics of some cute grow outs from two litters (same sire) during 6 week old evals. I don’t take this eval very heavily-I rely on 8 and 12 weeks to get a better idea of their adult structure, but 6 weeks is a good time to start looking for any major structural flaws, like pinched hips or long shoulders. It’s also good practice to get them used to being handled.

I try not to pick favorites before 6 weeks old, but this kit has caught my eye since he was 2 weeks old! He’s big, wide, full, has rich colored thick fur, and a big chunky head😍

I did 6 week evals on the tris and my favorite harlequin/brindle. The last tri looks good in the cage, but was a little monster to pose. I’ll have a better idea at 8 weeks on how they will look as adults. I like to pose them up at 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks to monitor their condition and structure.

This is a torted tri out of Patches and Gordo (Twix’ sister from a second breeding). She’s 6.5 months old and has been bred to my opal buck, Killion Glen’s Gunther. I probably won’t get any tris from this breeding, but will have some nice typed rabbits that I can use in my tri program 🙂

I checked on BabyRuth’s 2 day old litter to make sure she’s feeding and taking care of them. I think it’s safe to say they are well fed!

My 13 week old keepers from HunnyBuns Twix and HunnyBuns Sprinkles. The black orange brindle is a buck with the nicest back end that I’ve produced 😂. The blue fawn brindle is a doe.

Butter is giving me the side eye after posing her up and trimming her nails 😬😆 She is out of Killion Glen’s Gordo and HunnyBuns Butterscotch. She is a huge improvement from her mom, and has earned a place here in my tri and agouti program.

Twix and Sprinkles’ litter just opened their eyes. 4 black brindle/harlequin, 3 blue brindle/harlequin, 1 blue tri, and 1 black tri. Soooo, anyone looking for brindle/harlequin? 😂
