A Big CHEEKY CHIC-Y thank you to The Carnegie Center For The Arts for another amazing Regional Art Exhibition featuring artists from SW Michigan. We were fortunate to have TWO pieces in the show, Homeland Insecurity and Ox Bow Meander with which we received a Honorable Mention. We tip our hats to Director Donna Grubbs for a wonderfully curated show.

The Muskegon Museum Of Art is having their Annual Postcard Salon and here are our Cheeky Chic-y entries. All are 4” x 6” and made from an assortment of recycled materials: denim, fabrics, paper, vinyl tape, toilet paper rolls, house paint, glass. and a vintage car plate. Check out this exhibit in Muskegon from February 22 through March 14.

We were honored to meet and congratulate the actress Shelby FINNIE on her amazing performance in JAGGED LITTLE PILL 💊 last night in Kalamazoo. Incredible dancing, singing, acting 🎭, stage and lighting set to the music of Alanis Morissette. Bravo Cast and Crew 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 !!! All the reason to invest in and support the ARTS 🎭. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our Cheeky Chic-y Studio entries for The Box Factory For The Arts 4”x 6” Exhibit. We used old denim, leftover fabrics, fabric paints & thread 🧵 for “Happy” & “Scrappy”. The others. “Citroen” & Yellow Sails”, were woven from coffee bag tabs, vinyl tapes, support paper, thread , and a vintage Citroen plate. Check out this exhibit at The Box 📦 in St. Joe where every piece in this exhibit may be purchased at only $30.00 each.

Our latest piece “Ox Bow Meander” is off to make its exhibit debut in SW Michigan. Woven from painted feed bags, vinyl tape and thread with red twig dogwood it measures 30”x30”. Working as collaborative artists, our goal is to take mostly local and found materials and transform them into something makes us think and feel. There is a story behind each piece.
