In honor of National Joe Day, and his upcoming birthday, here’s a “Little Joe” (EyesABright Prospect, 2004) appreciation post! He prefers exploring trails in the woods over horse shows, but he’s also earned several national ApHC points in halter. He’s also one of Colton’s favorites in the barn.

"For all the animals of the forest are Mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are mine." (Psalm 50:10-11, NLT). Lord, remind us of Your care everyday, in Jesus' name. (Art by Don Weller, donweller.com. Used by permission. Thanks, Don, and God bless you.) "For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord- who is the Spirit- makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image." (2 Corinthians 3:17-18, NLT). Lord, help us claim and spread Your freedom, in Jesus' name. The Farm has lost two big hearts this Spring. Our hearts are heavy...
Encased in Gold - AKA Dusty was one of our best trail horses. Winning the Youth division of the KApOA Youth several years in a row. Chelsea's go to trail horse. For those of you who have horses, please watch your hay that you have stored or your feed. Dusty succumbed to EPM ( some folks call it opossum disease) Either way, an opossum is not welcome on our farm due to the virus they can carry.

Oscar, our furiously loyal farm dog. ( If you have not been blessed with a rescue dog I can tell you they are very devoted to you ) Bless his heart he was constantly keeping up with me in the fields, yard, and barn. You would find him close to us whereever we were. After 14 years it hurt me to watch him struggle to keep up.
We said goodbye yesterday.

"Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them...Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you." (Ephesians 4:29, 31-32, NLT). Lord, help use our words to encourage one another, in Jesus' name. (Art by Mark Maggiori, markmaggiori.com. Used by permission. Thanks, Mark, and God bless you.) We have 9 dozen farm fresh eggs and plenty of Yukon gold and Red Pontiac potatoes in stock! We also have cayenne peppers drying for those that would like some fresh chili seasoning for this fall.

We don’t have enough product to attend Saturday markets during our slow season, but we are happy to arrange delivery or pickup!

It’s the little things......
As spring has arrived I have been reminded that it’s the little things that make your day better.
It’s planting grass seed in Spring and seeing it start to come up.
It’s learning from a mentor to fix your gate a support that keeps it from leaning....
It’s listening to your daughter when she describes a gate latch that is easy to use and yet secures the gate.
It’s learning from one of your best friends to do things right or not at all.
It’s planting trees in groups because your Dad pointed out that a straight line in just not natural.
And it is taking care of Gods creatures big or small with shelter or clean water to drink.
God is in the little things...... think about it. AW
