TPLO Forum SACNH created this forum for people to share their experiences regarding TPLO surgery. Was your dog diagnosed with an ACL tear?
(1)

Stonecliff Animal Clinic of NH created this page to help dog owners connect on the subject of TPLO surgery. Was your dog just diagnoses with a cruciate tear? Are you trying to wade through the options, TPLO, TTA, Lateral Suture? Did your dog have TPLO surgery and do you want to share your experience? The page will be moderated by Dr. Dan Kelly, SACNH's surgeon who has performed hundreds of TPLO s

urgeries as well as lateral suture. Veterinary staff that experience the procedure daily and/or had a pet go through the operation will also contribute. Judy Coates, a licensed canine rehabilitation therapist will also be on hand to help with aftercare suggestions. We hope this page will assist owners during the post-op stage as well as help owners make informed decisions as well as prepare for your pet's TPLO/lateral suture procedure.

Great news for Central Vermont! We are so excited to bring these services to Montpelier and surrounding towns. Dr. Kelly's extensive experience as a surgeon will make it so much easier for patients locally to have complicated surgeries performed instead of having to drive all the way to Burlington.

All of us at Stonecliff Animal Clinic are so excited to tell you the news! Stonecliff in Lebanon has a new sister! Stonecliff Veterinary Surgical Center is opening in Montpelier, Vermont. So many of you travel from the middle of Vermont for Dr Kelly's experienced surgical services. Now he will be seeing patients in Montpelier. Don't worry, he will continue to provide his Upper Valley patients with the same high quality surgical services they have come to rely on. Lebanon has some great news also! Stay tuned!! ❤️😍

Dr. Kelly is back from Phoenix where he attended the American College of Veterinary Surgeons annual meeting. He participated in surgical training for a new procedure to correct elbow dysplasia and issues pertaining to the elbow. PAUL, Proximal Abducting Ulnar Osteotomy will be offered to Upper Valley patients with elbow dysplasia, one of the most common front leg lameness issues seen in dogs.

Exciting ACL research at Stonecliff

Stonecliff has partnered with Kimball Union Academy(KUA) as part of a science class where students take on a year long research project. Dr. Kelly is mentoring several students on a project that will evaluate radiographically, wild vs. domestic dog knees. They will compare domestic dogs knees with ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injuries to wild dog knee conformation to gain insight into if natural selection plays a part in a more stable knee structure. Very excited to be able to collaborate like this not only to help young minds grow but also to delve into the serious issue of cruciate injuries in dogs.
