We got 7 cat adoptions! Which is wonderful but we did not have any dogs leave, which puts us in Mayday. We have 14 dogs coming in next week and we need some place to put them. That only leaves us with one option and that is to call MAYDAY. These guys need to leave the shelter by Wednesday before close. This sucks and we hate to be right back in Mayday, we only can hope that we make it out of Mayday once again with no animals euthanized.

We still have no kennels! We are going to try something new. We will be open tomorrow but we will be open in the late afternoon. We will be open tomorrow 9/7/24 for adoptions only from 3 to 6pm! We are hoping we see alot of people show up! These are the current cuties we have and will have available for adoption! We need some open kennels tomorrow or we will have no choice but to call MAYDAY.

We are back down to 0 kennels! We are working on getting everyone's picture but here are videos from this morning!
We have taken in 23 dogs and 23 cats in just 4 days! Please come down and adopt your best friend for life or tag a rescue! We have to get at least a couple kennels open today to avoid calling a mayday. We just made it out of one and we are dreading going right back into one.

Adopted
Any bullterrier lovers? This cutie pie is looking for a forever home. He has a femur fracture which can be treated at home with lots of kennel rest, pain meds. Surgery is also an option. He is approximately 3 years old, 50lbs and super sweet! His name is Boy.
An adopter does need to understand He does have a journey of recovery in front of him.

Thank you to the community. We have three dogs pulled by rescues, 7 dogs ADOPTED today and 4 cats! You guys really came through and we cannot give enough thanks. We have been swamped here at the shelter since 1:30 with everyone coming out! The last three mayday dogs are still here but others getting out have saved them! Please don't hesitate to see us next week for adoptions! The rest of the babies still need homes and we have more coming in! Once again thank you everyone!

Oreo, Elmira, Zeus, Durango and Lomi are the last babies on the Mayday list. These babies are all sweethearts in their own rights, some might need more experienced homes or some more TLC but that doesn't mean they don't deserve a place to call their own. We know the right people are out there for these guys!

MAYDAY MAYDAY

We did get an adoption today, which we are so excited for Rusty! Unfortunately dogs are just not leaving as quickly as they are coming in. We are back up to one kennel open with 5 coming in tomorrow. We will struggle this week but trying to give the babies as much of a chance as we can. We have no choice but to call MAYDAY. We need these guys out by Friday before end of day or just kennels opened. It is not these dogs fault, we just don't have room. Please come down and see these babies in person! If you can't adopt please think about fostering! Tag everyone and share please!

We just picked up a sweet baby running in the road. We now officially have no kennels. Please let's get babies moved today or we will have to call MAYDAY today

Current cuties we have and will have available! We are down to 1 dog kennel, we need canines moved as soon as possible. We do have a mama with a litter that we are looking for a foster! We are missing some pics but wanted to get everyone posted as soon as possible today!

We apologize for not getting to updating current cuties, we got quite a few felines in Friday. We are down to 1 dog kennel. If we don't get babies moving, we will sadly have to call another Mayday! Lets avoid this!

Update: He received his surgery yesterday! He feels much better now and we are so thankful to everyone involved. Thank you so much to Brandon Veterinary Clinic, Tonie Knapp,Louisiana Lifeline for K-9s and Fetch Wisconsin Rescue

Update: He has been tagged by Rescue. He will be going to Louisiana Lifeline for K-9's - Beauregard & Vernon Parishes & Fetch Wisconsin Rescue. They are still asking for donations towards his surgery, (will take place next week!). He is at Brandon Veterinary Clinic!

We have an emergency situation. This baby needs a leg amputation. We are guessing that his leg was caught up in a runner until the point of strangulation/death of tissue. He is on pain meds and antibiotics but he needs an amputation ASAP. We need a rescue for this baby. He desperately needs the surgery. We apologize but some of the photos will be graphic.
We are not the ones who picked this baby up but we are the ones with him now and we only want him to strive and heal and get a loving home that is going to treat him right!

Roly Poly has been with us for 84 days! This is a crazy amount of time in a shelter. She is from a hoarding case and the only baby to not leave the shelter since entering. She is super sweet and lovable, a staff favorite. Please someone come give this cute girl a forever home! She is fixed and utd on vaccines
We have watched her transform into a happy, healthy girl and only wish to see that continue with her forever family!

Gemma and her new family have saved Dak and Sarah! She opened a kennel that we desperately need! We have the ones who are tagged leaving in the morning. We have 5 more dogs coming in this week and more the week after. I cannot express how thankful we are to our community and rescues for saving these lives which in return helps save the ones yet to come in! Please let's not wait until the next Mayday to adopt or pull, we will be back to the wire after these guys do leave. Let's stay away from Maydays! Thank you again to everyone who adopted, pulled or fostered! Without everyone working as a team it wouldn't be possible

Amazing news, We are down to three dogs in mayday at the shelter. We have had rescue tags! Please if you have thought about adopting or fostering, now is the time!

I had no hope this morning but now we are extremely hopeful!
