I don’t usually try to publicize my health issues on Facebook but after a tough week of having a common cold coupled with an incapacitating heart episode, I felt it was necessary to pass this along to my customers. I have suffered four illnesses in the past four years that left me unable to work for weeks at a time and I know that day is coming sooner than later that I won’t wake back up from one of these events. That’s just life.

With that being said, I chip away at my backlog daily when I am physically able and have plans to finish every single customer piece.

What I’m asking for now, if you have present/future mounts that you would like me to do, please put them in your freezer til I can do some catching up and accept them.

I’m probably the slowest taxidermist in the south east (mainly because age and health is getting the best of me) but I do hope you all get something back in return that you can be proud of for many years to come.

Please continue to be patient with me while I work and focus on my health. I appreciate everyone’s business and understanding.

The White Crappie is a fish that I rarely get to mount. Usually, the Black Crappie is the only one of the two that rolls through my shop. However, I just had the opportunity to complete this one for a client out of Kansas City, MO.

This is one of my good friend’s businesses near me. After reading his post this morning, i have decided to follow his lead. Most of us are getting older and there are fewer of us and we are being overwhelmed and working seven days a week to try to overcome tremendous backlogs while a lot of our supply companies have taken a hit from a government induced labor shortage. I want to thank everyone that’s been patient with me through extended wait periods. I’m working hard to get things caught up but I have a ways to go. Please bear with me and I will let everyone know when I’ll start taking in work again.
