Please remember for any new dog when you bring a new dog home and you have other animals. The new dog needs time to decompress before you introduced him to new animals and then only with slow introductions.

MEET woody a two year old pity mix that was found as a stray and the person who found him said he has the best and sweetest temperament. He is now looking for his forever home. Zena "Z" is a registered, female, 3-year-old Great Dane. Zena is currently enrolled in our behavioral program.

She, unfortunately, spent most of her life in her crate and stayed on lead while outside. She has not been socialized with other dogs and lacks self-confidence. She will become reactive when around other dogs, bark incessantly and lunge at them.

Otherwise, when she gets to know you, she is very loving and enjoys relaxing on the couch. She is scheduled for a spay on May 9th and is completely up to date on her vaccinations.

She needs a GD savvy person to provide the behavioral adjustments and desensitization she will require. She can only go to the perfect home. If you are interested in fostering her or potentially adopting, you can text 919 738 7798, and Wendy, her rescue person will call you back.

**Rescued**

💔Last call for Terrance 💔
Granted multiple reprieves just desperately hoping someone will come for this sweet silly boy. He loves people💜. He loves getting pets🐾. He loves to play. He did great on his 🐶 dogand 🐈 cat tests. He’s as cute as can be. But still NO ONE has come for this baby boy 😞. He’s ONLY 1 yo - a baby!! And ~40lbs. Being at the shelter is not his fault. People dumping their dogs every day and overcrowding the shelter is not his fault. Yet he is the one who will pay the price 💔 we need HELP. Please, rescue, foster , adopt. URGENT LAST DAY IS 4/27/24
I’m sure you all remember this poor boy Jake he is a 10 year old shepherd mix that came in as a stray. He was adopted as a medical adoption because he had kennel cough. He is back now because someone found him roaming again as a stray, and they brought him in and he still has a really bad cough, so he’s a medical adoption again so the shelter contacted the Adopter and she has surrendered him to the shelter!  sadly, this was not a good home for him. We want to make sure this time that someone that can truly take care of this boy adopts him! He’s so deserves it it breaks my heart to think what he has been through. Keep in mind he is an older boy!

He allegedly had someone coming to meet him to adopt Friday, and guess what? No one came. So tired of people lying equaling these dogs losing their lives.

🚨To be Euthanized due to space: 04/30 😞🚨
“Hello 👋 , my name is Hutch 🐶. I’ve been at the shelter waiting for my forever family to come find me. I have been so excited to meet them, but no one has come for me 🥺. The shelter says I only have a few days left and then there is nothing they can do for me anymore bc there are too many other doggies here 😞. They will euthanize me 💔. All I wanted was to find my family. But I guess that won’t happen. Unless you help me 🥺?

The volunteers told me that I was a very good boy, and handsome too. I also got along well with the dogs and cats I met at the shelter, as well as all the people I met. I don’t get what I’m doing wrong 😢 I thought I was a good boy 😞. Can you help me? I don’t want to die 🥺 I want my family 💔.”

Please. Please help Hutch. He’s gotten multiple extensions already along with Terrance bc he’s just a really good boy (both pups are). But they really won’t have a choice soon bc of all the dogs coming in and they will have to euthanize 😞. Please help ! Need adopter or rescue 🙏

⛰️Hutch aka Hickory. This dignified looking boy is only ~2yr old, mixed breed, male, ~50lbs. Hickory did well with other dogs at shelter✅🐶 and did well on his cat test ✅🐈. Poor guy appears to have an old injury to his left eye that he no longer can see out of, but that doesn’t stop him from seeking his forever family ❤️. He is a sweet boy. 🐶

Meet Taffy or Athena was her name when she was adopted from here almost 2 yrs ago! She is almost 4 yrs old! This sweet girl was surrendered because the wife was about to have a new baby! It breaks our hearts to see this but we now want her to find her FOREVER home
