Lakeside Performance Horses is a small facility which allows for more specialized programs for yourself and your horses.
🌟Proven program from the 4-H level all the way to breed circuit level.

Services:
- Lessons: limited space on our current horses. Use of your personal horse welcomed!
- Boarding plus lessons: Want multiple lessons a week without having to haul your horse? This one is for you. Also access to an indoor all year around.
- Training: We specialize in all around pleasure showing but have programs for young ones as well.
-Arena Rental: Hourly rental available.

Day 2 is in the books! Interesting day of judging but our teams laid down some fabulous rides and patterns regardless!

Qualified for Honors Eq, a small bobble left her out of the placings.

6th in Advanced Sr. English Eq. - Getting this gelding to this point in the game to be competitive was something we weren’t not sure last spring would even be possible. To see this team at fair and W/T/C is a huge win in and of itself!

Monday is Showmanship, versatility, ranch and the rest of gymkhana.

It’s that time of year! The 2024 Ingham County Youth Fair is underway. We are wishing our clients the best of luck!

Clients are pulling double duty on horses, showing in the all around and gymkhana classes.

Another Ingham County 4-H Horse Committee Twilight Show in the books. This series is fun to be able to take these horses out and see areas we need to focus on while not having the pressure of all the fancy show stuff.

Marv is proving over and over how great brained he is. I’d have 100 of him in my program! Tonight he showed one handed for the first time and did FABULOUS! Winning our pleasure and HMS class then finishing second in the ranch riding. Yup that’s right, this guy did ranch riding and had a blast! Got to have a little bit of fun while showing.

Kelsea Barcelow took the opportunity to take Blue out and about as part of fair prep and worked on Western together. These two get stronger every time they ride, and she’s figuring out this loping thing! 😂.

What else does one do beside go to a horse show on a Tuesday night! We had a great time at the Ingham County 4-H Horse Committee Twilight Show Series tonight!

Marv got off the trailer 20 minutes before his first class, no warm up, and went out w/t/c beautifully! I am very excited about the brain on this guy. He tied to the trailer like a champ.

Kelsea and Donnie got to experience their FIRST CANTER show together. If you would have asked me a year ago if this would be happening I probably would have said no. It’s been a road but it has happened!! They had a great couple classes locking in top 5 placings in those!

When the client says “I want to go show next weekend and knock the dust off”, you throw the young one in the trailer and take him to the show.

What a great learning day for this pair. This gelding is going to be really cool once he figures it all out. Watching this pair in the pen gives me the opportunity to know exactly where to dial in at on training. I can’t wait to see how this team grows within the next few months!!
