🐶💦🦴 For your dogs, we have water, shade, treats, and 💩 bags. Stop by and say “Hi!”

Did you know apples are great for dogs in moderation? It is a great source of vitamins, assists with digestion, and helps clean their teeth!

We just can’t wait to see you and your four legged friends at our tent on Saturday at the 49th Casey County Apple Festival. Whether your dog needs a drink of water or a shaded place to cool off, come see us! And while you’re at it, pose with your mutt for a free themed photo to help you remember this year’s festival. Yesss! Dogs only know unconditional love. ❤️❤️ on other news we recently received permission to begin fundraising for the dog park. If we want this to happen we have to raise the money so be on the lookout for fundraisers. Message us if you are interested in helping or donating!

At a special called meeting Aug. 15, the Liberty City Council approved the permission request of the dog park task force to continue to develop plans for the park.

The council approved the task force’s request to move forward with development of a plan. Councilmember Richard Montgomery made a motion to approve the request and Councilmember Micah Meece seconded. The vote was unanimous.

Welcome! The Lake Liberty Dog Park Task Force is a group of local volunteers working to bring a dog park to Liberty, Kentucky that you and your furry friend will enjoy visiting.

While Liberty already has many amenities, Task Force founding member, TJ Rayhill, feels that a dog park would take our town to the next level. It would add another reason for travelers to visit our great community. Or if you are a resident, it would add another reason to stay.

At the initial meeting of the Liberty Dog Park Task Force, members identified goals for
the project and the park. These goals have grounded, guided, and inspired the Task
their work on the project thus far, and will continue to be central moving forward.

The Liberty Dog Park would:
● be a clean, well-managed, & safe location;
● be enjoyable and scenic for both dogs and humans;
● be a reason for people to visit Liberty;
● provide a “pawsitive” space for the community to feel pride and to build a sense of camaraderie among its citizens;
● be a secure space for dogs to roam off-leash, featuring areas for dogs of different
sizes and abilities, as well as an area for timid or new dogs to remain on-leash; and
● provide an opportunity for additional dog-themed activities, such as classes led by
professional trainers and adoption events.

We invite all who wish the contribute, in whatever manner possible, to join our efforts. As a small town, we are not strangers to what a community can accomplish when we work together. To get involved, send us a message!
