Cutest little Peruvian pups weaned today! Golden agouti is a boar and red is a sow. Im keeping them both to show. They're just gorgeous!

Playing with roan. Boar is a triroan silkie, sow is a tsw silkie. Not usually advised to cross broken and roan, but I like to try some things for myself 😁. Did get 1 mismarked tsw, but the 2 roans I got look promising! Excited to see them grow. Happy Birthday babies! Ill have to think of some fall names if I keep any of them. ❤

Happy Birthday babies! 4 perfect little red and white American pups born last night. Luckily I got to watch and help this first time mama. She did great! 2 boys and 2 girls. Mama is a dilute, but I don't breed dilutes, so I paired her with a really deep broken red and white intense boar. All pups have dark eyes like dad🙂

Baby boom! 1 large black American litter born a few days ago. 5 little girls! 3 litters born this morning. 6 girls and 2 boys total. Coronets and silkies. Happy Birthday babies! Welcome!

4 new babies! 2 boys,2 girls. There is a huge size difference between the largest and smallest pup! Hoping the littlest 1 makes it. I will be supplementing her to try and help her stay strong

Drama in the caviary! My favorite sow. My pride and joy. Went into labor at 330 this morning. I just happened to be out there doing chores thank goodness! Normally I'm in bed at that time, but yesterday was super busy. Noticed that she was in labor. Straining but not producing a pup. Gave her 20 minutes. Checked her out and pup was completely stuck with head out and body still in. I helped her by pulling the pup out. Had to revive the pup. Big 7 ounce Singleton. Never had a Singleton litter before this. So glad I was there to help! Mom and daughter look good today! This is a good example of why you shouldn't breed your pets that you love.I am very emotionally invested in this pig and I was really stressed out and scared for her! Guinea pig births are fatal to the mother 1 in 5 times. The pups are so big and developed, it would be like a human mother trying to birth a toddler! If I hadn't been there, and I'm usually not,I probably would have lost mom and baby. You can do everything right and still lose mothers.

Happy Birthday babies! 3 gorgeous Peruvian pups born this morning! Sire is a tsw Peruvian. Dam is a red and white silkie. Both are beautiful animals and I have been so excited for this litter! First time mama seems to be doing great💞

First time mama just gave birth to 3 beautiful little pups! She did great! 2 sows and 1 boar. All satin. Dad is a r/w satin American with an amazingly sweet disposition. 1 of the pups looks just like him! Will definitely be showing a couple of these babies in the future. Hopefully!

Haircut day at the caviary! Senior black silkie boar Pappalardo is such a good boy! Probably because he was my sons pet for quite a while before we put him into breeding. 😊 Pappalardo is the sire to my recent litter of tri- roan silkie pups. He was bred out of Cavy Platoon and he's just beautiful! Even with a choppy hairstyle 🥰

Some sweet cream and white American babies born yesterday! This was a litter I bred from a friend's pet boar. The boars mother had recently passed away and my friends daughter wanted a new baby who is related to her beloved pet. Markings came out very nice! 2 boars and 1 sow. 🚹🚹🚺🥰

Hello friends! Big goings on at Columbia Valley Cavies during the last couple of weeks! We have finally finished our caviary, so we can start moving the pigs out of the main house! Unfortunately, there's not enough room in the caviary to house the children 😆. Just kidding! Here are a few pictures of the completed caviary. We have also had several litters of silkies, coronets and broken Americans born in the last week or so. Pictures will be posted soon!

Trying to decide who to coat and show out of our litter of 5 roan silkies. This amazing little tri roan boar made the cut! I'm excited to get him on the judges table! Now to think of a good name for him🤔.
