We’re a local family farm in Brentwood. We have chickens, ducks, goats, horses, a pony and a pair of mini donkeys.

It was definitely windy today! All the animals did great and stayed cozy in their homes. There was a few moments of blue skies,sunshine and a rainbow 🌈. We have lost power this evening but all is fine. Our water supply for the animals is gravity feed from our storage tank thankfully.

So excited we had our first visitors of the year🥰 The weather was perfect. The kids had a great time finding the mud and puddles. Rain boots make it to easy enjoy. Clover likes to make things more interesting! Goats are so silly and always entertaining 😂🐐
Hard to believe we rescued Susie and Sally 1 yr ago. Definitely not your typical goats, they don’t like much food except for alfalfa(male goats shouldn’t eat because they’re more likely to get urinary stones) mustard greens and Christmas trees! They don’t like pumpkins or watermelon oddly. These 2 are more in your pocket type of goat🤣
I love seeing trees getting dropped off at our gate! 6 today. Thank you 🌲🌲 Please drop them off at our gate at 9701 Deer Valley rd, Brentwood. Fog this morning to rain this evening.
We’re looking for Christmas Trees 🎄🎄 Goats LOVE them! Seriously they go crazy for the trees. The trees give the goats a nice shiny coat 🥰 Great way to recycle your trees!
The animals don’t seem to mind the new friends hanging around lately. The elves need to be a little careful around the goats, seriously goats eat anything and everything 😂
I found the elves today enjoying a nap on the car. What do they dream of?? The kids love this car, so do the elves!
Silly elves were playing in the worm bins today. Looks like they were helping by stirring the bins before the rain. We started with 1lb of worms, now we have 14 bins and hundreds pounds of worms 🪱
Best organic fertilizer!
The elves were hiding in the passion vines today. The passion vine has beautiful flowers that turn into the passion fruit. Over the summer the plant was struggling so I added some worms and fresh castings. It’s incredible to watch the organic magic of worms! Today there’s 105 passion fruits!
The elves were found in the quail coop today. I’m sure they were looking to steal some eggs!! So far the quail haven’t produced a single egg😂 Quails make sounds like frogs! I hatched them over the summer and hoping I can sell Coturnix quail eggs in the future. They sure are cute but wild little creatures.
Looks like the elf’s helped themselves to some tomatoes 🍅

Gorgeous morning! A little of rain to start the day. Very soon the golden hills will be green. I love Mt. Diablo both ways. It was fun to see a full rainbow 🌈 💕
It’s almost time!! We will be collecting pumpkins and Christmas trees 🎃🎄Last year the record was #744 pumpkins!! Let’s see if we can reach #1000 🎃🎃🎃
Pumpkins are a natural dewormer for the animals. Save the date November 1st. Will be having our first pumpkin dump. No worries if you can’t make we will be collecting them till mid December! Great way to recycle and it’s free feed for our animals🥰

Another gorgeous day! The Weather has been perfect. After the fabulous Salad on the Farm I decided to play in the garden. Found a lemon cucumber that the squirrels didn’t get yet🙌🏻 Have you ever seen asparagus go to seed? They’re beautiful, the orange seed pods will dry up and black seeds will replant this fall. It was a pleasant accident that I let the asparagus go to seed. Next year they will be 3 years old and we get to eat them! Our strawberries survived the summer and multiplied like crazy!!

Susie and Sally are rascals 😂 I was trying to clean their area and they wouldn’t leave the rake alone🐐🐐 I love their laid back but very curious personalities 🥰
Look at how cute they are!! We now have 4 pekin ducks now 🥰 Candy and Marble have joined the flock. They’re 2 younger ducks that needed a new home with other ducks. They have fit in perfectly and have paired up with the other 2 pekin ducks 💕

Shellie the tortoise woke back up! She was hibernating a few weeks back. She’s eaten a few hardy meals and had a good soak. I redid her den with fresh grass hay to help keep her warm all winter long. She will be ready to hibernate after the heat ends this week. It’s hard to not see her for the next 4-5 months 🐢 Cactus pads are her favorite!
