It's game day in Manhattan! While we're excited, that also means extra traffic in our area. Please take note of the post-game routes highlighted below. We will be emergency-only starting at noon today.
The City anticipates heavy rush hour traffic on Friday, September 13, in and around the entire city, due to the Kansas State University football game that starts at 7 p.m. Friday. Gameday traffic is expected to start congesting the roadways around noon and the congestion will remain until well after the game is over late into the night.
With parking lots near the stadium opening at 2 p.m., arterial roadways into and out of Manhattan are expected to be at full capacity. The City is asking drivers not associated with the game to seek alternate routes that avoid the area of Kimball, College, and North Manhattan avenues. The City also encourages drivers to complete their trips earlier in the day, if possible.
The City and K-State Athletics welcome all our visitors to Manhattan and we hope you enjoy your stay. Traffic cameras are available for travelers to view at https://cityofmhk.com/trafficcams.
