Auntie Bri says that she is so sorry that she has not been posting! Things have been a little extra busy at the rescue but she says she will do better.
To start with, we wanted to thank Auntie Lisa! She is an amazing volunteer who makes the yummest chops and makes all my protective clothing!
Thank you, Auntie Lisa!!

Memorial Day, as Decoration Day gradually came to be known, originally honored only those lost while fighting in the Civil War. But during World War I the United States found itself embroiled in another major conflict, and the holiday evolved to commemorate American military personnel who died in all wars, including World War II, The Vietnam War, The Korean War and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
For decades, Memorial Day continued to be observed on May 30, the date General Logan had selected for the first Decoration Day. But in 1968, Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, which established Memorial Day as the last Monday in May in order to create a three-day weekend for federal employees. The change went into effect in 1971. The same law also declared Memorial Day a federal holiday.
Thank you Auntie Lisa for fixing my vests and making this CUTEEE princess vest for me that still serves to protect my chest!
Love you Auntie Lisa!!

My Mama, Maria Sullivan CEO of Papayago Rescue House, will be teaching this class!
In her words, "This class will teach you about nutrition, behavior, vetting, household safety, and enrichment."
I hope you come out to learn more about taking care of us parrots!
Happy Arbor Day!
I hope you were able to plant a tree to help my native birdie friends. If not, maybe hug a tree and thank it for all the work it does?

WHY PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS MONTH IS IMPORTANT TO ME
It creates awareness
it creates an awareness of animal cruelty. Increasing public awareness of animal cruelty is a vital step toward educating people about how pervasive the problem is and what they can do to assist.
It promotes compassion
It is critical to the development of a compassionate and caring society that is responsible for ourselves, each other, our fellow creatures, and the environment. A humane and ethically responsible society is built on the foundation of humane education.
Information saves lives
Many pet owners aren’t aware they are endangering the lives of their furry/scaly/feathered companions. Thousands of dogs die in hot cars every year. An awareness of how to protect your pets would prevent this travesty.
Share the love and the information!

Did you know that I have an amazon wishlist?
I could really use a few items: like the tegaderm bandages! They really help with my chest chewing. I also could really use some more syringes! I am currently on 3 medications, and 3 supplements. We just figured out I go through 1,460 syringes a year!!
The QR code on the photo goes to my wishlist (But I will post the link in the comments, FB is silly about links!)
Thank you so much for considering supporting my continuing care this way!
Much love

I know how best to get Aunt B's attention! She will always stop what she is doing to give me head scritches. She says it's why it takes days for her to replies to emails! She can't entirely blame me for that. xo CoCo
