I wanted to update everyone on Krystal, her surgery had a slight hiccup, they did have to open her chest up to do the replacement. The surgery did go well, however due to the more invasive procedure she will be off work long than she anticipated. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she spends her time healing and recovering. Thank you all for your patience and understanding, we know it was very last minute and everyone was so kind in helping h make adjustments to her schedule.

We have some new policies in place for 2024. We now require 48hrs notice for cancellations. Failure to do so will result in a $25 (per pet) rebooking fee, this fee must be paid by stopping in. At that time we will rebook you. Unfortunately we do not get paid if customers do not show. Any clients that have multiple no shows will be removed from our client list. Any new clients that fail to show for the first appointment booked will then on not be allowed to book with us.

We no longer take late clients, if you are late you will be considered a no show and that $25 rebooking fee will then apply. We all drive 30 or more minutes to be there to care for your pet.

All Of us at bubbles and bones want to THANK everyone for all the generosity we have been shown over the last couple months. This is the week before Christmas, here are some things you need to know.

1. We are all busy and tired. We have been going non stop since before thanksgiving, working extra days or longer hours to accommodate as many pups as we can. please be kind as we are moving slow as we wrap up the busiest season.

2. If you can NOT make your scheduled appointment please let us know asap, last minute cancellations cost our groomers. They do not get paid if there are no dogs to groom. They work on commission. So at the least 24hr cancellation is preferred.

3. Holidays mean more calls and more in person stop ins to see about availability. As of now we are all heavily booked out until after Christmas some on into February. We do have a LONG cancelation list.

4. Please expect to leave your pup 3hrs possibly longer for larger dogs. But we do call as soon as they are ready.

5. If any changes to your appointment need to be made please call and speak to your groomer, ie. Dropping off early or needing to pick up late. You groomer may have appointments of their families esp this time of year, so touch base so we can plan on our end.

We have had some scammers respond to posts of our clients, asking for them to be added, we are so happy our clients are not responding. Please be aware we ban the people who ask our clients to “friend” them. This is inappropriate and we are being as diligent as possible removing them for our page.

He is so loved already and we are just over the moon lucky to have him in our family!! We are most excited to see his personality come out and watch him grow.

Please keep in mind we are booked out until mid June, it’s very important to set up your next appointment before you leave. We all have vacations coming up, grooming shows/classes (which we are so happy have started again) and we will be taking extra days off so that we can also enjoy some of the summer w our families. We cannot express how important it is to plan ahead and pre book.

Good evening to all our wonderful clients, we have some important news we need to share. We are happy to announce that we have one of our great groomers that is expecting her 2nd son very soon. Her last working day is may 31. She will be on maternity leave for approximately 8weeks. We are very excited for Trisha and her growing family.

Now as always we like to keep everyone posted on appointments, due to the drop in groomers obviously that pushes Trisha’s pups into the arms of another groomer. As we all share the task of caring for her clients that will ultimately put all other groomers out a little with their appointments. We highly suggest making sure you pre book your next appointment BEFORE you leave with your pet. Pre booking allows you to get the groomer you want, have first choice over a time that works for you, and gets you that 6-8week appointment so you don’t get pushed to that 10-12 week.

SOME CHANGES TO OUR SCHEDULING:
1. We are no longer accepting new cats. This includes brand new cats or any cats that we have not seen in a year or longer. Cat grooming is very important and should be kept up every 3-4months. we are limited on appointments designated for cats and we only have 1 cat groomer, EXISTING CAT PRICES HAVE INCREASED.

2. We are not accepting new senior dogs at this time. Due to the loss of many groomers in our area we have gotten many calls about senior dogs in need of grooming. We designate certain appointments to cater to these babies to help reduce stress and give more one on one time due to that we are at a maximum number of seniors, we are always concerned about new dogs, how they handle the new surroundings, new groomer, sounds and equipment. Some take it better than others but our concern is always the safety of the pet. Because of this we are not able to see all seniors that contact us. We will recommend seeing a vet with a groomer on staff so any unforeseen issues are taken care of immediately by the vet on staff.

3. At this time are are also unable to see any new pets. Any age, any breed, and any cut. Being down a groomer for a couple months we will have to be cautious about adding new customers to our roster. We will see new pets of existing clients. But brand new clients will not be able to be scheduled at this time. We will revisit this when our groomer returns from maternity leave.

4. Our new credit card machine is in. If you are using a credit card to pay for the services provided for your pet there will be a 4% service charge automatically added on the card. Because the credit card company is implementing the service charge on all cards we are now able to accept American Express. If you pay in cash/check you will not be charged the additional fee.

5. We want to also let all of our clients know that the cost of supplies are still on the rise we may have to implement a price increase in July. We are trying very hard to avoid this so we have looked into making a few changes to see if we can prolong this from happening. WE have every intention of keeping the great line of shampoos and conditioners that our pups rely on to keep fresh and health skin and coats.

In recent light of the pending weather we are supposed to receive this week, please remember, if you can’t make your appointment the fastest way to let us know is by returning text on the same one you get as a reminder. We want all of our clients and pets to be safe. If we get a level 2 we anticipate being in the salon, however if they are calling for more snow that may push us into a level 3 during the hours of operation we may close to error on the side of caution. If we wake to a level 3 we will close. Everyone please be careful and safe, and keep those babies warm. Have a great week.

Looking for the perfect pet lover to join our team, must be punctual, have own transportation, computer and phone skills, self starter and self driven. Willing to train the right person. Must pass a drug test. Our days of operation are Tuesday through Saturday start at 8:45am until we are finished for the day usually around 4-5pm. We are closed most major holidays. Pay depends on experience and tips are factored in as well. This is a w-2 position. Serious inquiries only.

To touch on the price increase, our prices will go up approximately 10% . We will offer a cash incentive meaning, if you pay with cash you will be given $2 off your bath/groom price.
This goes into effect February 1, 2022.

Please know we try our best to get pets in and out as quickly as possible. BUT we are busy, it’s Christmas and we are receiving A LOT of calls and walk in clients. Groomers in the area have quit, moved and/or retired. Those owners are trying to find new groomers and we are seeing a lot of them. Talking to them in person or on the phone does take up a lot of time.
Cleaning up cages, equipment, adding extra conditioner to pets to help w the season change, medicated baths due to allergies that do not want stop pestering the pups, this all adds time to our process. It’s takes up time in the tubs, bathers are waiting w pups taking extra hands away from the front. We are doing our best and we all must remember we are HUMAN. We stay calm to be thorough making sure your pet is taken care of and not stressed during this busy time. So know keep The following in mind.
1. YOUR PET WILL BE HERE LNGER THAN NORMAL
2. WE WILL CALL YOU AS SOON AS YOUR PET IS RECEIVING THE FINISHING TOUCHES
3. WE ARE HUMAN AND DOING OUR BEST
4. WE CLOSE AT 5 unless you have spoken and gotten approval from your groomer to pick up later.
5. ALL WALK IN NAIL TIMES WILL BE DONE BETWEEN 9am-3pm.

This year we decided to try something a little different, until Jan 1, 2022, with the purchase of a service, if you bring in a donation for an animal OR human shelter we will file your pets nails at no charge.
Donations can include but are not limited to;
Blankets
Socks
Pet Toys
Jackets
Pet food
Treats
Toiletries

We will take all donations to shelters across Toledo.

Together we can make the holidays a little kinder for many.

Attention bubbles & bones clients,

In the past couple months we have received a large number of no call/no shows. Because our groomers get paid per pet, we have decided to implement a new policy on no call no shows.

* any no call no shows will not be scheduled until after Christmas

*. We now require a 24hour Cancellation notice
This should be easy as we have had clients call us in labor to cancel, customers canceling when an emergency situation came up, and clients who were called into work respectful of our talents call to let us know they would not be able to make it. Our time is valuable and we can cater to someone else in need if we know.

* we now have a 3 strike policy, 3 no call no shows or less than 24hr notice will no longer be able to schedule future appointments with bubbles &bones

* any new client that does not show or give 24hour notice will not be permitted to schedule any future appointments.
