Entry deadline is fast approaching!

The June 1st deadline is quickly approaching! Hopefully your QA’s are completed and you’ve got your hogs tagged and photographed. 📸😁

Some notes as you complete Fair Entry:

1) All exhibitors are automatically enrolled in showmanship. You will not need to create a showmanship entry. If you choose to not participate, you may opt out at fair check in.

2) Each exhibitor may enter up to 6 hogs in FE (with corresponding uploaded pics with ear tags that match that entry).

3) Please make sure the ear tags are legible in your photos.

4) If you are creating a carcass entry, it does not matter which tag number you enter for the carcass entry. As long as your carcass entry is one of the market hogs you entered with a photo, you can wait until the day of the carcass show to decide which hog to bring.

🌟 Ractopamine form will be due with DUNF right before check in. We were informed the date was posted as June 1st but that is incorrect. We will update more about these forms closer to fair. 🐷

📣Exhibitor Spotlight!📣

Henry Pierce is 17 years old, a junior at Walsh Jesuit High School, and a 12-year member of the North Royalton Homesteaders 4-H Club in Cuyahoga County. He is honored to currently hold the office of President for the 4-H club, and has also served as vice president, secretary, and treasurer. He has taken Black Angus beef, lamb, turkey, chicken, and rabbit market projects, as well as fancy chicken, pet rabbit and Pet Pals projects. Last year, he raised a market steer (purchased from Jack Coyne Farms, Medina) and market turkey, and is thankful for his buyers, Veterinary Hospital + Urgent Care Lindsay Kostal, who made a record-setting bid of $16.50 per pound for his steer, and Cuyahoga County Farm Bureau and Cuyahoga County Fair Board for the purchase of his market turkeys. He is planning to take a market broiler and market turkey project this year and has already started them on the Kalmbach feed from Bros Feed Room and especially appreciates Sabrina Mangin, Store Manager, for coming out to the 4-H Club to talk about feeding plans and nutrition. Henry enjoys working with animals as a veterinary care assistant at Greystone Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care, and also has competed on basketball, track and field, and on Mock Trial teams.

Henry is truly an amazing kid here at the The Feed Room at Smith Bros. Inc. we are truly excited to see all the great things he will accomplish! Best of luck this year.
