We are a dog training business that focuses on the whole dog! We offer home & group training, day training, grooming, & daycare.

We are beyond excited to finally be sharing this news with everyone!!!

We are moving! In October we will be moving to a newly renovated suite within the same plaza we are currently located! Many of you have already seen the transition starting! We will continue operating in our current suite until the renovations are complete.

We are going through quite the face life! New name… new phone number… new facility… new services as well as the same great services we provided before!

Meet BANDIT… again! He came to us last year for a board and train. Today he came in for a spaw day! He got our deshedding treatment and lots of brushing. Now he is SOOOOO soft! Also, he loves the blow dryer! ♥️🐾♥️

Meet DUNE! He is just a baby Cavapoo! This is his second groom with me! He is learning to love the process of grooming. He doesn’t like having his tangles and mats removed (but who does) so we are working on tolerating brushing! 😍 He is so zen in the bath and almost falls asleep! Mom and dad are working hard with him at home to learn how to accept brushing!

I love grooming this kiddo because he has such a GLAM UP when he is done! He is so cute he doesn’t even look real!

Meet BANDIT! She is appropriately named wearing her bandit mask! She came to us after getting asked not to return to her last groomer. She started our grooming training program because she gets overwhelmed by the grooming process and panics and bites. She does better with mom around so the first 3 grooming training sessions, mom stayed to calm her when things got to be too overwhelming. She has never bit me because we work together through the training by setting boundaries and communicating. It is all about finding the mutual respect in order to achieve the goal. She still has a long way to go before she graduates out of grooming training, but she has come SOOO far in such a short time.

Today was her fourth session and I am SO PROUD to say that mom was able to drop off and leave! Bandit was a champ today. Many huggie and kissy breaks were needed but I was able to calm her without mom!

Today our service dog public access class went to sky harbor airport! They did an absolutely amazing job working through the stimulation and distraction of the airport. Next week this amazing group of teams takes their AKC Urban test to conclude their public access training!

With the new year approaching, we are setting goals and making resolutions! DON’T FORGET THE DOG! Does your dog jump on people? Does your dog need leash manners? Does your dog dash out the front door? Does your dog not listen to you? We can help!

We offer group obedience classes and private lessons! We can even do in home private training to help you right where it’s needed!

We offer evaluations to see what type of training is the right fit for you and your dog. Evaluations are $45. The evaluation fee is waived with enrollment in group or private lessons.

Meet Luna! She came to State48 Dog Training via a veterinary referral! She was rescued by a wonderful family that just wanted to give her a bath. She had strong feelings about getting a bath so she started grooming training. She is a very timid Belgian Malinos Mix that simply lacked the confidence to get a bath! I am happy to report that she kept her cool through the entire groom! She has a ways to go before she enjoys the process, but she took a huge step getting her first bath! Good Girl, Luna!

Max’s first walk

Max the Mini Golden Doodle went on his first big kid walk! We did an enrichment walk so he could have a positive experience! He learned to wait at the door, not to pull on the end of the leash, not to stick his head in bushes, to come to mom when called, to not bark at people and to relax when he gets home! I have to brag on this dog Ollie for a min. When I meet him eight weeks ago he was a holy terror. Mom could t get a leash or collar on him with out chasing him. He would try to bite her. He was unable to be walked. He was refused by a few groomers because of his behaviors and had to be muzzled at the vet. Now is he perfect?? Not yet but wow what a difference her dedication and working him has done. She was able to have company this weekend a lady who is afraid of dogs. The friend was feeding him and loving on him by end of visit. He has seen the vet who commented on how much calmer her was at his last visit. He was groomed this week by Sarah who told mom he did better. Mom is able to now get leash and collar on dog he sits and waits nicely. He does place on his mat and is letting people in the door. He is focused and now looking at his owner for directions. Meet KOPO! KOPO comes to State48 Dog Training and Service dogs for grooming training! He comes in every four weeks for a bath and tidy. Every other time he gets a hair cut! He has had extremely strong feelings around grooming and vet visits! He has been working with us for a few months now and he has made some big strides! My privates today worked on walking nicely and passing other dogs and sit stays while gabby walked around them. Harley and I (and mom ) did a field trip at the dog park. Now we didn’t go on the dog park. But Harley is struggling when he sees other dogs he wants to go play. So we worked on impulse control and learning to ignore the dogs and focus on mom. We also spent time in the field working on his stays around kids playing flag football. By the end of his lesson his focus was on mom and not the distractions.
