1-For those who don’t know, Lauren is also a pet and service dog trainer. In an effort to increase accessibility, Far From Home Inc.’s name and purpose has been changed! Our new name is Infinite Possibilities Animals Inc.! Our organization now encapsulates all of our services including dog training, service dog training, parrot behavior consulting, and parrot rehoming 🥳🎉 This change also allows us to operate as a tax-deductible non-profit, accepting donations! More details coming soon.

We want to wish all of our followers and supporters a very happy holidays!

We thank you for continuing to support us through another year of rescue! This year our founder focused on building our PetFinder page, and has fallen a bit behind on social media posts. Our PetFinder page brought us many adoptions in 2022, and we cannot thank our adopters enough!

We look forward to another year, and maybe even expanding our services to help more animals in need! Stay tuned!

✨Happy New Year!✨

Our organizational goal for 2021 was to help 1 parrot. In 2020, we helped mostly farm birds, and we wanted to expand our impact. Well, in 2021 we helped a total of 🦜21🦜 parrots! We still have 4 parrots in care, and have applications for 3/4 of them! Thanks to Petfinder our animals are getting more views than ever before! These four birds would love to find homes for the holidays, for this reason, their adoption fee has been reduced to just $10 per bird! Mango and Guava the lovebirds are a bonded pair and Clyde and Sebastian the senegal parrots are also a bonded pair. Guess who’s ready for adoption? It’s Bubbles! Bubbles has been with us for a few months and we have seen improvements in confidence, self mutilating behaviors and feather picking. We were able to take on 14 medically complex cases, and spent over $1,300 on vet bills. We cannot do this work without our generous donors. In one year worldwide over 65,000 parrots are poached and illegally enter into the parrot pet trade. These birds are wild animals and not domesticated in any way. As such, they face many problems in their new homes including feather plucking, egg binding and overall emotional distress. These birds live upwards of 50 years requiring special and constant care and are often shuffled from home to home with the average parrot having more than seven owners in their life time. With this kind of inconsistency parrots develop many emotional and physical ailments that decrease their quality of life and make them even harder to care for. With there being many resources to help abandoned dogs and cats there are few resources to help the thousands of parrots displaced each year. Far From Home Inc. aims to change that. We are an enrichment based shelter and sanctuary for the unwanted companion bird. We provide temporary and permanent placements to help birds find their perfect forever families.
