Beaver Creek Farms

Beaver Creek Farms We do Whitetail Taxidermy, raise honey bees, and cut firewood in Monroe NC. We are branching out to bee keeping and providing fire wood here at the farm.

Due to the cost of supplies and greatly more complicated game laws brought on by CWD, we will not be accepting new taxidermy mounts during the 2023 season. Stay connected and see what happens. Bill Smith

Heading out in the morning for a hog hunt in Oklahoma. Freezer is getting a little low and I just can't afford to buy meat in the store anymore... Being forced to hunt for my food is the only thing I appreciate about our current administration. 🤪

Attention all potential fawn-nappers!

Just because you see a baby deer all alone doesn't mean it's auditioning for a local production of Little Orphan Annie.

Newborn fawns are like teenagers. They get left alone for hours while Mom runs errands. This sneaky strategy keeps predators from following mom to find them. Usually, these fawns are stashed away in tall grass or bushes, but sometimes they're found in more obvious places - like your backyard.

If you stumble upon a fawn that appears to be orphaned, hold off on your rescue mission. Give it at least 24 hours to see if Mom returns. If the fawn appears to be in distress and is calling out loudly or covered in flies, then call our N.C. Wildlife Helpline at 866-318-2401.

Our Story

After 30 years of chasing the Whitetail Deer through the woods I wanted to find a way to turn my passion into supplemental income to be used during retirement from my "day job". With this idea Beaver Creek Taxidermy was born. I started by completing a taxidermy course at the Rinehart Taxidermy Institute and have since attended a number of workshops and seminars to improve my work. We opened our shop on a part time basis in the fall of 2011. Being a part time shop with limited hours available, we are only accepting whitetail deer mounts at this time. Our low volume will benefit you, our valued customer with a quicker turn around time. When you bring in your mount we will give you the exact date we expect it to be ready to pick up. We also offer a "rush" service that can get your mount back to you in as little as 8 weeks (for an additional fee). Beaver Creek Taxidermy is focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction - we will do everything we can to meet your expectations. Bill Smith
