I just brought my grey gelding Prince home from WAY Against The Odds Horsemanship after 30 days of training by McKenzie and couldn’t be happier with his treatment and the results!
This horse came from a bad situation a year ago and I did not know if I’d be able to keep him or not. Actually had him listed for sale this spring.
His training had not really been training and what he had was very fragmented.
McKenzie listened to me and worked with him to be what I wanted..a safe trail horse and good friend.
She took him to an obstacle course, Wildcat Mountain State Park trails, down the road from her barn and in the woods and field behind her facility. She taught him to sidle up to a mounting block and one rein stop. Exactly what I needed done. She can do the fancy buttons or whatever you want but that was not what I was looking for.
Also, she very kindly took me riding on him every time I came to see him which built my confidence and helped me learn about him.

And already have plans for a ride tomorrow 😁

Bode came to me for some desensitizing. He had a tendency to bolt when he got scared, so we've been getting him out with a pony horse to help build his confidence and big dude is rocking it!

Well, now that the BLM Internet Auction is officially over I get to share some exciting news! This auction was a whirl wind of excitement! I knew with the pickup location being in Wisconsin I was going to take advantage of adopting 2 horses. I had around 20 horses saved in my favorites list. Sunday night came and I put my bid in on a gelding. No less than a couple hours later I was outbid. My ONLY goal in this auction was to bid on mustangs that weren't going to be bid on. I ONLY wanted to be able to help get a mustang out of holding, train and rehome it. So, begins the slow process of being outbid again, again and again. The bay mare I bid on Sunday night and kept highest bidder through the end, but I kept having to replace my next bid on the second choice. Well, about 5 minutes before the end of the auction I says to Sheila Olson, flip a coin! Thats all I have left, 3 year old bay mare from Nevada Wild Horse Range or 5 year old sorrel gelding from Antelope Valley...soooo here they are!

Joining us in September and 👀 for their forever loving 🏡 once trained and going well under saddle!!

Hauled training horse Meeko over to Wildcat Mountain Horse Trails in Ontario for some more exposure. She's been in training with me for about 40 days and this little mare rocked it! Road riding, steep hills, bridges, narrow winding paths and leading the trail ride! She's going to make her mom one great partner!

Openings available for C**t Starting, Groundwork, Gentling and Refreshers/Tune-Ups.

Trainer owned facility focused on helping create an all around handy, level headed horse partner. BLM approved for up to 4 Mustangs. I have previous experience gentling Mustangs from Wild to Willing.

Each horse is individually assessed to create a unique path of training, always working with each horse's personality & abilities. Horses have an active learning schedule of 4-5 days a week sometimes multiple times daily to keep training sessions flexible, engaging & productive.

Property has wooded trails & a small obstacle course under ongoing expansion. I'm located a short trailer ride from Castle Rock Horse Trails for easy access to additional trails for more new & educational experiences.

Training fee covers training, boarding pen and feed. Recommended c**t starting under saddle 60 days minimum. Private message me for more info!
