Last night, one of our incredible overnight veterinary technicians, Namelle, was unexpectedly notified that a terrible fire broke out in her home. Tragically, Namelle lost everything, including her beloved cat, King Newton.

This cute turtle that Dr. Mezei is holding is named Squirtle! This little guy came in and presented lethargic, anorexic, and his eyes were swollen shut. Squirtle had a common vitamin deficiency that occurs in turtles, known as hypovitaminosis. We are so happy that Squirtle was able to make a fantastic recovery and has since put on lots of weight and is more active than ever! 🐢💚👩‍⚕️
