Friday Feels ❤️ My wonderful husband and *technically* partner in MKC created this sweet video of a day at Mewsic Kitty. Now, my husband is not a cat person. I have to give him so much credit. He’s been supportive of this vision from the start and put tons of sweat into getting this place up and running; from the pallet walls, helping with construction, serious deep cleaning and cat proofing, and occasional landscaping. About the only thing he’s afraid to do is put a cat in a carrier 😹 I know it breaks his heart to see this place close, too. He’s loved what it does for our community and, although I still wouldn’t call him a “cat person,” between this place and our 3 at home, he certainly has an appreciation for them. I’m grateful and blessed to have such a loving, generous soul for a partner. Although it’s the purrfect storm of circumstances causing us to close right meow, although it hurts to know that - in another time - Mewsic Kitty would likely live on with or without us, I know our little family will be okay. This is not the end of our adventures but the start of something new.

George Miclaw & Angmew Ridgeley (Kit & Kat) are a bonded pair still seeking their forever family. They are two of the nicest guys. ❤️ Just look at them! They’ll be happy to play when you’re bored and equally pumped to cozy up for some Netflix. They are safe-in-place at The Catio right meow. Contact Catio to make an appointment to meet them and bring them home soon! 10/10 would recommend this duo for purrfect companionship. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
🎶 18 wheels and a dozen biscuits / 6 more hours of 2-fur-1s / a few more songs on that grimey stereo / and purrhaps Katty will find a happy home with the one that she loves 🎶 ❤️ Katty Mattea is gorgeous so it might be hard to imagine her emaciated, anemic, and nearly bald from being eaten up with fleas. But that is sadly how it was when she was rescued from a hoarding situation. She’s put on weight and grown some of her lovely long locks back but she still has a little ways to go. She is sweet as pie 🥧 and has made herself right at home. She’s on the quiet side (she likely won’t be fighting more bold kitties for attention) and loves a great snuggle. We hope she find a warm, comfy home soon so she can 🎶 spend the rest of her life with the one that she loves 🎶💕

P. S. Fun fact, the “high” cats get from catnip lasts only about 6 minutes. Catnip can be consumed by humans as tea. It has an herbal, lemon flavor. While good for your eyes, it does not have any intoxicating effects on humans.
