As many of you already know, 4 years ago I made the big decision to continue to train and teach but to discontinue running my barn. I was fortunate to be able to lease the barn out to Nicole Brickner. Nicole and her family have taken excellent care of the horses and our barn. It was a sad day today as it was Nicole's last day as she has decided to relocate to AZ. Nicole, I can't thank you, your family and staff enough for everything you've done while at Stoneybridge. I wish you the best in your new adventure.
Im happy to announce Stoneybridge will remain open. Brian and Sheryl Fink will now be leasing the barn. They will be operating it as a boarding stable under the name Woods Edge. Im really excited for them. I've spent quite a bit of time this past month with them in preparation for the change. I can tell you they are hard working, detail oriented and very positive thinking people that care very much about the horses. Many of Nicole's staff are remaining to ensure a smooth transition.
I know the barn will remain a fun, family oriented place to enjoy our horses.
As for me, I'm continuing to train a limited number of horses and teaching lessons. Some at my barn and some at other barns. Im finding at my age its nice to to just ride and teach and let someone else worry about managing the barn. My training business will still be named Stoneybridge Stables.
Hope this clears up what the Stoneybridge status is and if you need a place to board give Sheryl a call at Woods edge!
