Due to unfortunate circumstances we are pausing intake of any more horses. We are doing everything in our power to continue to support our current rescues but providing for them financially has been challenging. Our hope is to one day rescue again but at this time we will focus our energy in what we have and support other local rescues.

Sugar is a 10 year old paint/Appaloosa mare rescued from a local auction. She takes some time to trust you but once she does she is very sweet. She was said to be broke to ride but we are unsure of her rideability at this time. We are able to saddle her and do basic groundwork with no issues. She is best suited for an advanced rider capable of continuing her training.

Clyde is a 20 year old gelding we accepted as an owner surrender. He does require some special care with his hooves as they were not properly cared for prior to coming to us. Clyde stands for the farrier, loads, ties and is polite with the vet. He is available has a companion horse due to his age and hooves.

Candy is a 9 year old register APHA mare rescued from a kill pen. She is not broke to ride but is smart and eager to please in the right hands. She will do best in a home with easy going horses or other animals that are not dominant. Candy is best suited for an advanced rider with quiet hands.

Ben is a 11 year old bay OTTB rescued from a local auction. He was previously used as a child’s barrel horse but does need a refresher course. He will be best suited for an intermediate to advanced rider.

Piper is a coming 3 year old who arrived with Ben. She is an easy going mare who gets along with any horse you put her with. Piper is NOT broke to ride at this time but will make a great kids horse or hunter pony. She is best suited for someone capable of continuing with her training

✨✨Skips Bold Candy✨✨

Candy is a 9 year old registered APHA mare that we saved from a kill pen in March. She came to us extremely sick but we got her healthy again and are slowly working with her to become rideable. She will get along best with horses who are not aggressive or dominant. Candy stands for the farrier, lunges and is UTD on teeth, vaccines and coggins. She does get a slight attitude during feeding but gets out of it quickly. Candy will be best suited for an advanced rider who can continue her training and build her confidence

We have had Zeus for a little under a week and his soundness is improving greatly. He has bar shoes and pads courtesy of our farrier to treat his white line disease and build up his sole. We are also giving him the nutrition he needs to heal and be healthy. He was able to be briefly turned out in our pasture yesterday and made our 16.3 HH ottb Ben look like a pony!

His race name is Mina Lake and we have his win picture posted. Over his race career he has won almost 40,000.00 before finding himself at a less then desirable home. Thank you to the woman who rehomed him with us. I can tell he was taken care of while he was with you.

Zeus was able to enjoy some time out of his stall in our sand indoor arena. We chose to turn him out here to ensure his hooves stay dry and give him a soft spot to stretch his legs. He has a wonderful personality and we are so excited to see how far ge can go!

Zeus has made it safely! We will have the farrier out Tuesday to begin the process of treating his white line and getting him as comfortable as possible. He is very tender in his front hooves but we have begun him in anti inflammatorys and hoof supplements to build up his sole and make him more comfortable. Day 1 of 2 for farrier day. We have 4 specials needs cases that require special shoing for corrective or medical purposes. We are lucky enough for have some sponsors but we need your help. If you feel so inclined, please donate. We are trying to raise 1,100 for both days.

We are happy to announce that we will be welcoming Zeus to the rescue this evening. He will be treated for white line disease in one of his hooves and get a little more weight out on.

It may not look like much but Candy has come a long way since she first arrived. After almost losing her to influenza and her dropping a lot of weight, it took forever to get it back on and she still never looked quite right. Our trainer (who fell in love) began sponsoring her and gave her what she needs and she finally is beginning to look happy and healthy! Her luxurious mane and tail from the Platinum Performance is definitely a plus. The top picture is her currently and the bottom was from a few months ago
