Four more euros are going out today to their owners. All four of these deer were killed in the same holler 😳 Yancey County has put out some impressive deer this year! Congratulations to the hunters on these impressive mounts.

Two more gorgeous bronzed euro mounts went to their owners today. The one with the broken nose was from the same soy bean field in Yadkin County that the very first bronzed deer came from that we did. It came to us broken, all we did was enhance its natural beauty.
The fully intact deer is from a cousin, one of his best harvests to date! These Mitchell County deer are showing out this year!

🎄🦌CHRISTMAS DEER🦌🎄

It was our absolute pleasure to work on this stud of a deer that local hunting legend Stella Vance McKinney harvested this season! When she called us and said she wanted Wilcox Mounts to do her euro, our mouths dropped. Stella never ceases to amaze Western North Carolina with her harvests. We only hope that we did this deer justice, because this picture sure doesn’t. Congratulations, Stella on your AMAZING harvest and thank you for trusting us with your euro mount.

FOUR amazing 4x4’s are ready to go to their owners! We just love showing off these amazing local harvests! In our opinion these mountain bucks are some of the finest we have seen in years. Congratulations to all of our clients who not only got a trophy to put on their wall, but also put meat in the freezer.

It’s the first day of rifle season so you know what that means- BRING US YOUR DEER HEADS! We have already got two in this morning and we are planning on filling our freezer with your euro mounts in the next week. Pricing is below.

For a macerated clean white euro: $55
For a bronzed or patina euro: $65

We have a total of 11 heads right now so the wait time is a little longer than expected. Perfection takes time folks, and we will not rush our process or take short cuts. We are proud of our work and it shows through our mounts. Euro mounting is still a shorter process than a typical cape mount.

We are thankful for our first time and returning customers, always!

Hey y’all, Wilcox Mounts has officially opened for the deer season 🦌 We are accepting heads and putting a time frame of 2-3 weeks per bleached euro mount this year!
If you want to drop off a whitetail head, please call 8284678711 before hand so we can make sure someone is here.
Please specify to us if you want a euro mount that is bronzed (or any other color) as that process takes extra time.
We look forward to hearing from you and making a mount worthy of your trophy wall!

Here are some better, more lighted pictures of this beautiful dead head 4x4 that has been through our bronzing process. I’m no professional photographer but I hope these 📸 show off the color of this skull the way I see it.

If you’re looking to get a euro mount done this coming fall, or have a skull laying around that you haven’t done nothing with yet, please done hesitate to contact us! We have done everything; longhorns, wild boars, bears, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, coyote, and of course our favorite, our antlered friends the whitetail buck. We are clean, fast-ish (these things do take time) and our work shows out!

Y’all, this skull is something we have been dreaming about doing for the past 3 years. We kept begging people to please, let us bronze your skull. The answer was always “no, we just want it white.” We FINALLY got a skull from a dear relative who let us have complete creative control. I was so excited to get it done that I couldn’t wait to show some sneak peeks instead of taking “good” pictures. They will come tomorrow in the natural light with the actual wall mount hanger that we made for it. The pictures don’t do this dead head justice, you have to be up close to see all of the detail. We can only hope and pray that our relative will love this head as much as we do.

We just received three heads to be euro mounted! So excited to get to work on these and make some beautiful trophies. When bringing us your heads please make sure they have been properly stored. We suggest you place them in a trash bag and freeze it until you can get it to us.

Here at Wilcox Mounts all we do is European mounts and skull taxidermy. Euro style mounts have taken off in the past ten years and are one of the most popular (and cost efficient) ways to show off your harvest to friends and family. Using a maceration method, we utilize in our thoughts, the best way to clean your trophy. Afterwards we use a process of bleaching/whitening to get your skull the brightest white we possibly can. We can also do colors (bronze, black, green etc) to make your vision come to life. We finish each skull with a polymer based sealant to help prevent cracking. Wether you have just taken down a whitetail buck, bear, coyote, or any other predator, we can help you with your vision of showing off your harvest!
