What beauty to see the colors of autumn from hiking, train rides, zip lining, horse back riding, boat rides or just enjoying a bowl of lobster chowder. What an incredible time to visit New England.

Small family farm 11 acres south Ocala. General farm maintenance including mowing, weedeating , small fence repairs.
Feeding, watering, stall cleaning.
Must enjoy keeping a small family farm clean, neat and tidy. Hours vary at different times of year . Salery depends on experience and Available hours.
Must have experience with horses including brood mares, weanlings and yearlings also rehab and retirement horses a plus. Thoroughbred experience a plus. Experience with meds and dressing changes a plus. Also enjoy cats,dogs, chickens and animals in general.
Must speak English, good communication skills, have transportation, be responsible and work unsupervised.
Partially furnished barn apartment included. Ideal position for some one partly retired. Could work well for single or couple. Apartment is 1 bedroom,living room, kitchen, one bathroom plus loft.
Private safe location, quiet, peaceful. Garden area if you desire.

Smokers, alcoholics, drug users need not apply. Must have clean background check.
Please include 3 references and past work history. Must enjoy being outside plus living, working in a farm environment.

Full Equine Facility

Crowe’s Nest Farm, Inc. was incorporated in 1996 and is located within the serene setting of the Country Club Ocala. Owned and managed by lifetime equine owner and breeder Joanne Crowe.

While breeding, raising, selling and racing thoroughbreds is Joanne interest her true passion is providing full care to equines of all breeds who are retired or belong to private owners who enjoy their horses and want them cared for appropriately. Joanne’s experience ranges from early years of trail riding and showing quarter horses to breeding thoroughbreds, sales prep and selling weanlings and yearlings at sales as a bloodstock agent as well as caring for layups and retired horses.

While some horses are ridden for pleasure and enjoyment most were once accomplished show horses or race horses who brought their owners much joy and are now enjoying a more relaxed life style. Whether it be due to injuries or age or perhaps just some temporary time off all horses here are cared for according to their individual needs. Our setting is peaceful making it ideal for healing and relaxing.
