Posting hands are pretty common. By that I mean hands and forearms that rise and fall with the rise and fall of the posting trot.
The way to get rid of that habit, to have hands that are quiet, is to think about letting your elbows bend slightly and softly, down as your body lifts, up as your body sinks.
Try holding onto a neck strap of some sort that keeps your hands in one place and you will understand what your elbows must do to accommodate the steady hand position.
Posting hands are not some end of the world affliction, but we don’t see them on the better riders, so there’s that---.
