Oxford Animal Control is asking residents in the vicinity of School Street/Ruel field area to be on the lookout for two cats that are reported to have been dumped. One is all black and the other is a grey tabby. Please call Animal Control at 508-987-6047 if you have a sighting.

Oxford ACO Kelly Flynn and Environmental Police Officer Arthur O’Connell responded to a call about a beaver trapped in some type of culvert on Rte 20 today. After MANY attempts to remove the animal we were finally successful and the very large, male beaver made his way back to the water!

Oxford Animal Control is thrilled to report a happy ending for the goose on McKinstry pond that was unable to fly due to a genetic condition called “Angel wing”. We received many calls from concerned residents about the lone goose over the last several months. With the help of several of the residents and expert waterfowl netter, Steve Blash, we were able to capture “Daffy” and bring him/her to Cloa’s Ark Sanctuary in Hadley, Ma! Much thanks to everyone who helped save this beautiful creature!!!!!

Another day in the life of Oxford Animal Control Officer Ed Hart. ACO Hart assisted this skunk who was entangled in this baseball hitting net this morning. Ed did not get sprayed nor did the police officer who assisted by holding the catch pole. Thanks Ed!!!!

These two cats have been found recently in Oxford. The orange tabby cat was found near 200 Old Webster Road on 7-27-23. It is very large and extremely friendly. The long haired grey and white cat was found at Orchard Hill on 8-1-23. Both cats are at Oxford Animal Control. If you own one of these cats, please call 508-987-6047.
