Millie is a compact 15.3hh coming 8yo OTTB who has a solid W/T under saddle and decent canter that’s ready for some fine tuning. After time off to build condition she’s been enjoying the come back into work and she’s told us she’s ready for more. Millie thrives having her brain picked; she’s sensitive, expressive and VERY honest.
She has a big personality and wants to have fun. Millie is young but has a good head on her shoulders for someone patient. Under saddle she’s a more forward ride but still controlled and easy to work down, especially with the consistency! Millie would do best with someone confident under a trainers guidance who’s wanting to commit to a 3-5 day a week program.
Loves western work and we think she would do great running gymkhana, put on the barrel pattern or in the HJ ring. Millie likes fast paced and competitive. She’s the perfect opportunity to score a 2025 show horse without the responsibility of owning.

We will have a spot opening up September 1st for someone available for a work exchange off full care boarding. Minimum of 3 AM feedings per week, preference of 3 AM’s during the week and one weekend shift (does not need to be AM feeding; field cleaning, lunch shift or PM feed available). Amenities include a 60x120 indoor, Douglas State Forest trails less than 20 minutes down the road and quality, hands on care from an experienced staff. Free choice New York first & second cut hay and a forage forward, personalized feed program with grain inclusions from Tribute, Poulin and Nutrena. We can accommodate group or individual turnout. This position is for someone 18+ who is responsible, reliable and has a mind for finer details as we are primarily a retirement and rehabilitation facility.

We just wanted to thank our incredible barn family for the help this week, especially the kiddos who came to help with AM feed and Finn’s mum who took extra chores this afternoon so that we could have the time we needed to get through the day. The kind words and all the little things have been a much needed morale booster.

A year ago, The Ridge unexpectedly lost one of our biggest supporters in not only this adventure, but in life.

Gina knew how to make us laugh even when we wanted to cry, and held our hands on some of the most difficult days in the start of this. She listened to every word we said and helped guide us through many life changing circumstances—the biggest being our farm and safe place. For someone who hated dirt & bugs, there was never a bigger and more warm smile to be had then when she was talking to the horses.

Navigating life without her has been hard. Most days it still doesn’t feel real, like we’re going to pull in the driveway and see her waiting for us again. Other days, the weight of her absence is felt in every way possible and we aren’t sure how we’ll make it to the next. Tina and I, as well as the whole family, would give anything to have just one more day with her Earthbound.

If there’s one thing I know it’s that she’s up there smiling down with all the ferocity she possessed, proud as hell for how far all of us have come since she left.

6 year old, 15.3hh registered paint gelding.
He is an in your pocket, puppy dog personality type of horse. easy going, kinda lazy, more whoa than go. Just a big lover boy. He has been trail ridden, can be a tad looky at first, but other than that he trucks along just fine. Ridden down the road with cars/bikes, ect passing him. Was started on WSCA games, but he’s just a lazy do**us and fast with tight turns isn’t really his thing. I have thrown a rope off him, drug barrels, thrown it around his legs and he was perfectly chill for it all. Has been going English as well and has been started over fences and is LOVING it. He’s given lessons to beginners and intermediate riders. I think he’d be a great 4-H all arounder with a little more time.

I witnessed the most wholesome exchange today watching this kiddo come see her pony after vacation. From her running to the paddock, to Chip running to the gate to meet her, to the long hug that followed. 🩵 Ft. Dallas who was just happy to be included. 😅

We’ve had a few people reach out about boarding this week and figured this would be a good time to let everyone know that we are full. We’ve opened up a waitlist for all future inquiries.

A little late but we’d also like to introduce Miss Georgia to the barn family! We are so happy for Scarlett and are excited to be a part of these two’s journey. 🥰 Tango LOVES his new gf.

Last call for anyone wanting to hitch supplies rides for Liberty-Belle Stables today!

Two of the displaced have shared their tack lists for anyone looking to donate. Check your tack rooms and storage. Alyssa Adams, one of the boarders, is located in Worcester and is available for drop offs or pickups in the area.

Gold Nugget Farm in Spencer, MA has kindly donated 100 bales for the farm and we will be there Tuesday to start transporting it. I will be reaching out to those that offered their trucks to see if we can get the majority up at the same time.
