As promised, we are excited to be offering a variety of summer seminars with our very own instructor, Jennifer Crank, for 5 days of fun and learning.
Below you can see a list and descriptions of what is going to be offered along with the dates and times. Registration will be available today June 7th, at 6pm EST. Please direct any questions to Jenn directly.
Friday, 7/26
9:00am-12:00pm
Novice Handling: This seminar will focus on the handling of novice challenges. There will be only jumps and tunnels (no contacts or weaves). We will work on improving timing, handler position, and location of various and skills. Dogs must be proficient on jumps and tunnels (Dogs must be 12 months or older. Dogs do not need to be jumping full height). Working spot $125. Limited to 5 students.
1:00pm-4:00pm
Tunnels Ahead!: All things tunnels! We will work tunnel commitment, turns out of tunnels, tunnel discriminations, and tunnel threadles. Only tunnels and jumps will be used. There will be no contacts or weaves. (Dogs must be 12 months or older). Working spot $125. Limited to 5 students.
5:00pm-8:00pm
Backside Skills & Drills: This is designed for dogs who have been introduced to backsides but do not yet have complete proficiency on the various skills. Topics to be addressed include different backside angles, handling, and commitment. (Dogs must be 18 months or older). Working spot $125. Limited to 5 students.
Saturday, 7/27
9:00am-11:00am
PUPPIES (Audit only): This session will cover foundation skills needed for the future agility puppy. No equipment will be used. Your puppy will be exposed to toy play, reward markers, commitment and body awareness and most of all how to have fun with you! (Geared towards puppies 6-7 months old).
12:00pm-3:30pm
Common Masters Challenges: We will address some of the main challenges that we are presented with in Masters-level agility courses. This could include 180s, wraps, obstacle discriminations, etc. Sequences will be between 6-12 obstacles. (Dogs must be competing at the Excellent/Masters level). Working spot $150. Limited to 6 students.
Sunday, 7/28
12:00pm-3:30pm
ISC Skills & Drills: This will not be an intro to ISC challenges. Teams signing up should have an understanding of the types of challenges presented on ISC courses. We will work through skills and drills that are commonly presented at level 2/3. (Dogs do not need to have competed in an ISC competition, but the dogs must be proficient on all equipment.) Working spot $150. Limited to 6 students.
Monday, 7/29
11:30am-3:00pm
ISC Coursework: Teams will have a chance to walk and run full ISC Level 2/3 courses. Working spot $150. Limited to 6 students.
Tuesday, 7/30
9:00am-12:30pm
Masters Handling & Coursework: This seminar is a combination of fine-tuning some masters level handling while also getting the opportunity to run a couple full masters courses. (Dogs must be competing at the Excellent/Masters level). Working spot $150. Limited to 6 students.
1:30pm-4:30pm
Common Excellent Challenges: We will address some of the main challenges that we are presented with in Excellent-level agility courses. This is for teams that are in Excellent or new to the Masters level who are looking to grow their confidence and understanding of these challenges (Dogs must be competing at the Excellent or Masters level). Working spot $125. Limited to 5 students.
