Omega was rescued today from the time stamped list at our local high kill shelter ACCT. Dr Cohn had the honor of picking him up and showing him the first moments of his new life ❤️ He was transported to Fishtown Animal Hopsital for evaluation. He was so congested so he was started on some medications to help clear infection, fluids to rehydrate him and vitamin b12 to give him and immune boost. He has terrible teeth and will need a dental procedure with extractions. For today though he gets his own suite, catnip a comfy bed and cat tv. Archibald had a rough start but that doesn’t dim his shine. Still just a baby, he is going in for his second procedure today with the hopes of making him more comfortable and allowing him to poop normally. The specialists think that his colon wasn’t formed properly causing a thick ring of tissue creating a stricture. His foster mom Karen is an actual angel and makes sure he has the best life. He doesn’t even hate his baths because of all the love and snuggles he gets. A Christmas Miracle for this special guy. On Saturday, Clay was in the shelter facing the wall and wouldn’t even turn around in his cage. He was minutes from euthanasia.
