Is been a tough start to the New year here at Lazy Acres kennel. Our big guy Huck is suffering from anaplasmosis from a tick bite. He had us pretty scared for a few days as he was severly ill and required a vet stay or two but I’m happy to report he’s is feeling much better and recovering nicely. Unfortunately our vet has told us that due to the high fevers and the length of time he has had the high fevers that he will not have any viabale semen for up to a year. Our other disappointing news is that neither of our girls is currently pregnant. All this yucky news accumulates to no puppies now and the end of our breeding program. We have decided as a family to not continue breeding. We have loved making families for the last few years but with our current situation we don’t want to start from the beginning again. We will be making a decision soon about the possibility of rehoming the girls to the right situation. Huck will not be rehomed with his current medical issues. If you think you may be interested in one of the girls please reach out. Thank you all for sharing this journey with us and please keep sending us pictures of past pups. It’s official the fab 8 have left the building! All pups have gone home and are settling into a new life. I’m so thankful for all the amazing families that got a puppy from us. It’s absolutely the best feeling when you see them meet the puppy of their dreams. Pictures have already started coming in. These 2 now reside in Connecticut. ❤️

Today the Fab 8 had the first vet visit. All 8 got a clean bill of health from the vet and are all on target and growing like weeds. After the vets we took all 8 pups to The Pines at Rutland Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation and they spent a little time cuddling up with everyone. The smiles were priceless. ❤️

Rainy days are made for Napping! The fab 8 are all officially under deposit. 4 will be staying local, 2 are going to Connecticut, 1 to Ohio and 1 to New Hamspire. I’m so excited for all the new families to welcome these sweet babies home. Thanks to all who shared and spread the word. Hard to believe in 4 short weeks they will all be gone to forever homes. This is definitely my calling. I love raising these sweet babies and making the dream of a quality purebred puppy affordable for families.

Today the fab 8 moved into their new spot as they were crawling out of the old one. It also means they have moved out of the quiet bedroom into the more active living room to begin learning more social skills and Mom is happy to not be so isolated. 3 weeks and 5 days old. ❤️
