It is with the heaviest heart that I write this post, and please know this did not come as an easy choice. It has been three months of deliberation and pushing it off.

My program has moved in a different direction that can also benefit our farm, and I have phased out my Goldens. Hudson and Honey were always meant to stay as part of our family and never leave regardless of the program, but it is the saddest decision we’ve decided to retire him from our program and home. He is not getting along with our newest male and I just can’t have that when he is the future of the program.

Hudson will be the best addition to anyone’s family, but I will be the pickiest I’ve ever been when sending him away. He needs to go to a home where he can be Alpha. I will not send him to anyone that has male dogs. I’ve worked from home since we got Hudson so he doesn’t know what it’s like to be left alone, but he does great when we leave for day trips.

There will be a rehoming fee associated with him. He will come with all of his records to include vet, AKC and health testing. He will be approved for a breeding program on a limited case basis. There will be a neutering contract to adhere to if I can’t get him in at my vet prior to him leaving.

The two newest additions to our homestead are here! We have brought a breeding pair of Jersey dairy cows. Welcome to this crazy life Annabelle!

Our morning started with three VERY excited kids screaming and running to the house “JELLY BEAN HAD HER BABIES MAMA!!!!!” 💗

We should open up a petting zoo… this life is so much fun and exactly what I’ve always dreamed of. Today was the start of every spring for the rest of our lives 🥰

We chose to pull the kids and homeschool again, and I have never been so grateful. I’ve watched them blossom and learn so much more than public school could have ever taught them. This week on our agenda on top of the traditional subjects? Teach them how to build seedling boxes, soil block for seedling starts and building a worm garden to enrich our soil. We have over ✨TWO THOUSAND✨ plants we are going to tackle in a quarter acre of a garden plot! We are SO excited to do this and show our babies how simple it is to provide for yourself and that getting your hands dirty in some soil and worms is a serotonin boost.

In about a week our first beehive arrives, and we will get to build and paint that together as well. Pollination is so important to the world, and we’re trying to teach our babies to save it every chance they can get.

Life lessons are the best lessons ❤️

In the matter of being on the homestead for exactly five days we drove an hour and a half and picked up these three KuneKune pigs! I was so excited, pretty much put my foot down and told Tyler we were doing it no matter what he thought. It was poorly thought out, but I folded the seats in the van and threw them all in the back… once we got home I truly realized how destructive pigs can be when I got a full look at my van 😅

We’ve learned this past weekend that Big Red and Christy LOVE to run from us and straight to the road they go. We lost them in the bottom of our woods from their master camouflage skills with all the dead pine needles for about 30 minutes. We learned our lesson to say the least. Running back and forth at 8 in the morning in 30° weather was not in our books.

Bear with us over the next few days as we will be ’rebranding’ for our little farm. Open Seas will still exist, but most all communication regarding puppy updates will be in the group. I will update on here when I’m expecting puppies and move the remainder of communication over into the group. I’ll remind everyone of this change the next time we have puppies! The last two boys we have available; Champagne and Cheer! Either one would make the perfect addition to your house. They’ve been raised in our living room with constant interaction from all three of our children.

Don’t wait long, it only took a day before Ball was spoken for!

❤️Cheer(red) is our most active boy of the litter. He is an absolute goof. He will romp and wrestle all day long. He was the only one out of the entire litter that loved each of his baths, and I foresee him being a HUGE water dog. So if you’re an active family and will take this dude on walks, beach/lake/river trips with you or even have a pool he is perfect for you.

💛Champagne(yellow) - This little guy is the snuggliest one of the bunch. He absolutely adores my daughter and will attack her with kisses until she gives him attention (her preference is, of course, Sparkle). He is super mellow and laidback. He often is the one we’re left looking for when it’s bed time because he likes to venture off on his own and leave the pack behind. His nose usually leads the way for him and we find him in the kitchen.

We’ve been a little MIA the last two weeks as we went home to be with my husband’s family for Christmas for the first year without our mom. I apologize for the lack of communication, but as everyone knows family always comes first and we needed this time to heal together. As soon as I am back home this week I will get individual pictures of our babies.

In the meantime, enjoy the photos from our amazing vet who took Magnolia and all the babies in. They are certainly being VERY spoiled, and the pups are gets nice and plump. About half of the litter is starting to open their eyes. ❤️

Well it seems Hudson and Magnolia had different plans for us... Stay tuned for our first litter of Magnolia’s set to arrive next weekend ❤️

To be completely transparent, Phillip has been a lot better with his allergies and we’ve purchased a small little farm to accommodate the dogs each of our kiddos chose to keep. So depending on how Magnolia does at being a mom, we may see our program through to the end with her as our last mom at Open Seas.

For whatever reason someone reported my latest post and now my personal Facebook and this page are in a warning status to be deleted. I will make this short and sweet.

Someone from the latest litter is bringing their baby back to me tomorrow afternoon, and I will be finding him a new home. Please reach out to me for anymore information if you are interested.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that we will be ending our program. As many of you know we welcome a baby boy to our family at the end of June, and with that came our worst fear. He’s terribly allergic to dogs. We have tried everything we can to remedy the situation including air purifiers, more frequent grooming appointments, converting the garage and moving their cages in there, training them to stay out of the bedrooms and off couches, deep cleaning every weekend.. and it only continues to get worse. It’s taken me months to finally have enough strength to rehome them, but I know it’s only fair to them since I can no longer give them the love they deserve and need. We have already started to rehome our babies to families that have previously taken a pup from our program. They will forever be in the best hands, and I don’t doubt that for a second. I had to do what was best for both Phillip, and the dogs, regardless of how excruciatingly painful it is.

It has been my greatest pleasure to meet each and every one of you. The annual Christmas cards, painting/drawings from your kids, gifts for your pups parents and the updates in pictures we get have been the absolute best. However, my favorite part is knowing that each person I vetted and hand picked for the babies I helped bring into the world are loved beyond belief. Watching the pups grow with each of your families has been so rewarding.

I will forever be grateful and cherish each of you. Thank you for being a part of this miraculous journey with me. 💕

***UPDATE****
I have found my perfect home, and get this everyone!!! They live only seconds away from the beach! So as much as I may be the last pup left, it just took a little longer for that perfect family to find me, and now I’ll get all the water all the time 😊🌊

My name is Maryland, and I was the yellow collared girl from Willow and Hudson’s litter! All of my siblings have been picked up, and I’ve been hanging out with the Kester family like I’m one of their own. I’m completely potty and crate trained, and absolutely love all of the kids.. the little baby is so interesting too! I’m getting pretty great at playing fetch too. However, my heart belongs to the water.. you turn on the hose and I’m going to be one crazy happy girl. So if you love the water and you have kids (or will in the future) I would be the perfect girl for you! I’m only eight weeks old, so I’d love to spend a lifetime with you 💛🌊

All pups parent for my two current litters:

You will have received two emails from me by now.

- the first email is coming from DocuSign. This will be your contract and health guarantee that will need to be signed before pickup. I will not release the pup to you until I have a signed contract.

-the second email is coming from FiNano. This is the release of your microchip that was put inside your pup. We will both always have record of this so if your pup is lost we will both be able to be notified if your number ever changes. You will have a sticker in your paperwork that has a barcode and the chip number for your vet to have record of it, as well as you to have a paper record.

Please keep track of both of these emails and don’t lose the information in either of them!

SURPRISE! 🎉

Willow came way out of left field and gave us a litter of 10 on Saturday night; 3 males and 7 females! Hudson is also the daddy to these. All spots are open for her litter. 💕

Honey popped on Sunday night and went into the afternoon on Monday morning. I had to rush her to the emergency vet due to one being stuck, and unfortunately we ended up losing two. The ER Vet and her team were absolutely amazing and tried to revive the babies, but being stuck in the birth canal for so long limited their oxygen and they couldn’t. We do have eight healthy babies though! 3 females and 5 males. I have two male spots open from Honey 😊
