This is Rey. Because of the quality I've gotten to see in these pairings from Skye and Roy, with Skye's retirement, I've decided to keep one little girl and offer her for a guardianship opportunity to just the right family. I wouldn't even have considered it if she wasn't exactly what I was looking to continue to produce 💗 She is precious. It's been such a big week of growing up for these babies💘 4 weeks old today.
My youngest son decided on this litter theme for me and we all loved it...🖤🖤🖤drumrollllllll🥁🖤🖤🖤 Star Wars!
The boys litter names are Jabba and Mando.
The girls are Rey and Princess Leia.

Would you believe me if I told you that after only the first week of these puppies lives, I already know which ones may do better during temperament testing simply by the snuggling and desensitization exercises and holds that we do with them from birth? Happy first week babies💜

Thank you for being so great Skye❤️ 4 beautiful pups were born in the early morning hours Monday, June 17th.
2 boys and 2 girls. 1 girl and 1 boy have lighter cream colorings, the other girl and boy have more golden cream coats. Everyone is doing great and thriving.

To honor the goal I set out to achieve,
I feel good to be able to say that a number of my puppies have gone into or are being trained in therapy/service dog work. (To this day, I still wish I'd been able to have a trained Autism service dog for my Sam.) I raise my puppies on an advanced service dog curriculum, handle and desensitize them in purposeful ways and do "potential SD" temperament testing for a reason. This guy in the video is one of Roy and Skye's. What a good boy.

It's been 2 years since I've had an available litter. And with it being Skye's last one before her retirement, it's feeling a tiny bit emotional❤️ we've been a good team🥹 She's due any day now, so stay updated for pictures and posts.

This is how Roy is feeling about the new puppies that will be born soon! Completely unconcerned and unbothered by it all. He just lets Skye do all the work and bides his time until they follow him around chewing on his ankles. He's the best dad ever❤️

I'm opening the waitlist for Skye's final (retirement) litter. Once I've confirmed puppies are on the way, she would be due the first week of June, which would make puppies go home date early August.
Please pm with any questions. These puppies will be raised on the same service dog curriculum and temperament testing I've done in the past with the first couple of waitlist spots being reserved for families looking for Service dog prospects.

Sunna is from last year's litter (2022 Roy/Skye). Her owner is wonderful to send me pictures and updates. I love how she looks exactly as she did as a pup. Shorter coat with some darker golden features.
(And as the rest of you know, I love hearing from all of you!)
Sunna tested one of the highest in her litter during temperament testing with the service dog curriculum, so still very hopeful that she'll be able to fill some of those roles her owner has in mind for her. I work really hard when the puppies are being raised to be able to help match the right puppy with their family, whether it's therapy, SDP or pet/companion/friend.

Long awaited update on Ruby.
From her owner.."Just wanted to let you know Ruby tested with San Diego FireRescue. She passed certification! She’s such an amazing dog. So glad and very grateful for your beautiful dogs."
I love these updates and am really proud to know that some pups from my litters are achieving certifications like this. Especially the ones I temperament tested.

These 2 boys are 12 weeks old and still looking for their families. I'd love to see them in homes before Christmas. AKC registered. Dad, American golden, mom is white/English cream. Raised from birth on service dog curriculum and temperament tested at 7 weeks old.

Sergeant Stubby (1916 – March 16, 1926) was a dog and the OFFICIAL mascot of the 102nd Infantry Regiment (United States) and was assigned to the 26th (Yankee) Division in World War I. He served for 18 months and participated in 17 battles on the Western Front. He saved his regiment from surprise mustard gas attacks, found and comforted the wounded, and allegedly once caught a German soldier by the seat of his pants, holding him there until American soldiers found him.[2] His actions were well-documented in contemporary American newspapers.

"See this moment? I've never experienced a moment like this. Yesterday was the first day my 5 year old Autistic son met his new Autism Service Dog, Tornado. We are Americans that live overseas in Japan and have prepared for nearly two years to meet Tornado.

This picture captures the face of a mother who saw her child, who she can't hug, wash, dress, snuggle and touch freely lay on his new Service dog of his own free will, with a purposeful, unspoken attachment. This is the face of a mom who has seen her son experience countless failed social interactions on the playground in an attempt to have a friend. Any friend. Any kind of connection. She has sat with her son while he has cried at night for months because he has no consistent connections outside of the family no matter how hard he tries and no matter what he works hard on in his Autism therapies. It doesn't transfer to the natural occurring world for him. And now she is sitting behind her son silently watching this moment, with the air sucked from her lungs, and no words to say.

It's worth every fight for services for my son, every diagnosis, every new provider, every dollar spent, every paper filled out, every school meeting, every shed tear, every step forward, every step back, and every wonder of the unknown future. Somehow because of this - because of Tornado - I know everything will be okay. As a mother, I have seen countless challenging and painful moments my son has encountered and cried countless more. Yesterday however, I cried for a different reason. It is a feeling that is indescribable."

Hello to all of my page followers💙. Unfortunately with an overly saturated market, I will not have an available litter in 2023 unless there are at least 5 on the waiting list.
I don't feel bad pointing out the fact that 'backyard breeders' who aren't committed to healthy dogs and testing, curriculum etc, have done a huge disservice to those breeders who DO care. The quality of our dogs, the loving homes they go to, placing hopeful service dog prospects etc. And let me say, all of you know, that raising a temperament of Golden that could have the potential to be a service dog is my goal, and I believe it's a great one. The saturation has made it so the good breeders are having a hard time placing their puppies. A good breeder doesn't breed without a waitlist. Taking their dogs back, having health guarantees. It's called responsibility.
I only have this 1 available litter this year. I've never had any puppies left and I currently still have 2!
So here's to hoping things will look up and the good breeders out there are able to stay committed to their cause.

Puppies have been slowly trickling out at different dates to their new families. Such a weird year. Only 4 pups went home on actual go home weekend. The family who got "Cinnamon roll" came for her today, and they brought my kids a treat to match the occasion💗AND they were surprising their own kids with the puppy🥺 I always remember pick ups like this, when I cry along with them.

I'm proud to say that my puppies completed their temperament testing on Thursday ❤️ "Bear Claw"(black collar) male, a big boy currently at just over 13 lbs, had the best score of the litter for low sight/sound sensitivity, high nerve strength, human focus, workability and motivation. Just amazing. He is one of two puppies being placed in "Service dog prospect" homes.
