Today I’m just in the mood to highlight the way all of our “boy” Drs stare at sweet kitties. The Drs are such good sports putting up with the female shenanigans happening throughout the clinic at any given time. They put up the big bad front. But we think they’re the big softies around here. 💙

Wishing everyone a happy and safe Halloween today! If you’re stopping by the clinic with your kiddos, feel free to grab some of the coloring activities we have set out for some Halloween fun, and trick or treat the receptionist team for an even more special treat!

We want EVERYONE to have a safe and fun night tonight so we want to make sure we remember some important things;
1. If you have a pet at home who doesn’t care for strangers, or who is the opposite and loves to say hi to everyone, a baby gate is a great preventative measure for excited and spooked pets! Cats should ideally be kept in a separate bedroom that can be kept shut to allow them not to sneak outside. If you have a reactive dog, keeping them in another room may be the best idea for them as well, with the tv on and sounds to drown out the rest of the commotion.
2. Chocolate is toxic to dogs. Most people know this fact, you’d think the dogs would start to realize it’s not a good snack but we all know it’s too tasty 🤷🏼‍♀️ Keep your bucket loads of candy at places your dogs can’t get like on top of the fridge.
3. Pumpkin is a great treat for your furry friends, but stick away from the added extras of items with pumpkin spice flavoring.
4. While sugar is not great for your pets, remember that sugar free is still not a better options. With artificial sweeteners containing xylitol this is also toxic to your sweet babies!

We want to wish a happy birthday to Rebekah. She has already jumped into tasks, taken on new positions, and learned an incredible amount in her time with us. She came to us knowing a lot about veterinary medicine, and has even helped to create better practices throughout the clinic. We’re grateful to have you and your calm, can do demeanor that keeps the staff calm and happy. We hope you have the best day today! 💜🎉🎂🥳🎈🎁

Happy birthday to our tech Ashley! Ashley has been through a year with positives and hardships and we want to acknowledge the absolute stride and grace she has gone through it all with. You’re a super hero! Thanks for coming back after having a baby, we’re happy to have you back. Not only for the teeth extractions but it sure is a plus! 🎉🎁💜

Doja cat for the Monday morning post. This cats actual name is Doja Cat. She wears her hat and vest and has since a kitten. Her sister was the one being seen but miss social had to come along for the ride. The two girls were polar opposites but both absolutely adorable. 🩷🤠 don’t forget to follow the instagram for pictures of our patients, maybe even your own!

Today is national black dog day. Statistically black colored pet adoptions are lower than any others and the reasonings can vary dramatically. So who better to use for a photo to celebrate than my own dog, Cash Ray. I can speak on behalf of black dogs, that this guy has not one mean bone in his body, maybe some fewer brain cells but that’s alright too. Another benefit of having a dark hair colored pet? His hair doesn’t show up on my black clothing!

Let this be a reminder, the most important thing about adopting a new pet is finding one whose lifestyle meshes with yours, and one you connect with. They all deserve loving homes. 🖤

It’s estimated that 300 dogs were involved in search and rescue efforts on 9/11. 20 survivors found by these hero’s. Today we remember not only the dogs, but the family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were taken too soon. ❤️💙

Without you, we wouldn’t have a built in therapist who also teaches staff yoga and exercises to bring the stress down. The way you bring such a positive aura to the clinic is something the staff all feels. We adore you and all your work, thanks for being so awesome! 💜

National dog day with some of our recent cuties. We see the dogs, big and small, and wouldn’t trade these guys for anything. We love getting to see such a variety of breeds, and for getting to love on your babies as if they were our own! 💜💙

Horse floats are so important at all times of the year! Unmanaged you can find horses dropping feed, pain for your horses when trying to eat, or struggling to take a bit. We can do floats while out on farm calls or we have the new stocks in clinic 🦷🐴
