Our sweet girl Yahtzee had to make sure to inspect all the toys and beds that were donated on Saturday! She had a blast, and so did we. We deeply appreciate all the love and support from our wonderful community! ❤️
Arella's Story
Arella was born prematurely at our center after her pregnant mama was dumped outside. Out of 7 kittens, only 3 survived. Because of her premature birth, Arella struggles to breathe, has sensitive eyes, and is undersized. Even now, two years later, she still has to sit in her nebulizer box once a day just to breathe easily.
But Arella is so much more than her health struggles. She's a petite spitfire. She stands up for herself against the bigger cats and even dogs. She loves with her whole heart. And she is a fantastic foster sister to the many other rescue animals her foster has taken in over the years. She helps them settle in and does her best to keep up and play with them, but with her health issues, it isn't always easy for her.
Arella has an appointment in a few weeks with MedVet Cincinnati to see if we can determine a cause and if we can improve her quality of life. Unfortunately, we were quoted $4300-$5700 for her appointment (including a CT scan, sedation, bloodwork panel, rhinoscopy, possible biopsies, etc). Obviously, as a small organization, that is a lot for us to put forward for one little cat - but we think Arella deserves a chance at a healthier, happier life.
We need your help to make it happen. If you can spare any amount of money, or even share our post to spread Arella's story, we would be forever grateful. Arella has fought so hard every day just to stay alive - we are ready to fight for her just as hard. <3

If you have love, space, and a little extra time to give, then please submit a foster application at https://form.jotform.com/212146697682061 to get started or stop in at 128 Big Hill Ave in Richmond on Saturday between 12-5 PM for more information.
Today is the second-to-last Saturday for our senior cat special, so we wanted to highlight another one of our available kitties. Muriel came to us after her caretaker sadly passed away. We think she's about 10 years old. Muriel is as sweet as can be. She loves attention, especially being brushed. She will sit there and make biscuits for us without us even touching her. She has a dainty little mew she uses to ask for our attention. And she's got the charming wink down pat.
We think she would be okay with other cats and kids. She has not been tested with dogs. Her adoption fee is WAIVED throughout the month of March.
You can come meet Muriel and our other senior sweethearts today from 12-5pm!
