We had a very interesting visitor here... strange that he showed up during full daytime, but I think he was after the baby swallows in the nest right outside our window. He was about 2 feet from me, staring at me from the tree, and staying there for the time it took me to run to get my camera and come back for his photoshoot! Then he took off to our birch tree in our driveway, without his potential meal of baby swallows. .

UPDATES: This Memorial Day, March 27th, 2024, Zsa Zsa gave birth to pups from her first litter.. 6 males and 3 females. She produced a nice variety of solid blacks and very dark black sables, ending with a total of 9 pups.

My heart is so full of pride for the person she has become, for her accomplishments and goals she strives to reach and continues to reach, even as she juggles raising a beautiful family with our two grandchildren and husband Alex, who are also some of her biggest supporters.. she always gives her all and somehow finds the time to keep the fire alive and continue to succeed toward her goals in her love of and challenge in the demanding sport of competitive Dressage. Congratulations Jen... another brick traveled on your journey of your yellow brick road.

Dona (Dona Perunnova) and I spent the wee late evening hours on New Years Day from late evening, straight thru into the morning of January 2nd, (Dona's due date), for these little tykes to join us! All 9 are present and accounted for. 2 Females... (Purple and Gold collars) and 7 males. Will wait a day or two to decide exactly how many of these boys are black sables, as right now most look solid black. They are super dark, but a few have a tiny bit of color under their tails, so we will see how many are black sable. Nice, large and active kiddos! Dona is a super fantastic momma!

On December 31st, 2023...for our last day of the 2023 year..., we sadly and suddenly lost our beloved boy Mango ... (Mango Cerna Bohemia)... Mango has been a part of our program here since he was just over 2 years of age. He has sired many wonderful pups for our kennel, with our primary focus being on canine nosework and/or tracking venues. His pups have a natural gift for scent work, and do very well in the scenting realm.. He imparted his kindness to his puppies, as well as his beauty and wonderful substance of structure.

Many of you may remember that Mango had needed immediate emergency surgery only 18 months ago, due to a very serious infection in his intestines that required the removal of 8-12 inches of his intestine, of which he miraculously survived and recovered nicely... Since this surgery, Mango has lived a wonderfully healthy life here with us following his surgery and recovery, and his health has continued on for him, remaining in active, good health for the last 18 months.

The surgeon who performed the surgery then, told us that if it ever failed in the future at the site of the surgery, there would not be anything he could do to help him, because of the fragility of the tissue right at the location of the pancreas where the repair had been previously needed. Last night, Mango suddenly became very ill, and we knew that something dire had happened to cause a future relapse of the tissue in the damaged area ... we were able to be with him in his final moments, sharing with Mango the love and comfort that we all needed to give to one another, to be able to help calm and comfort him, as we let him go.

He will be greatly missed and long remembered by us, in his offspring that we have integrated over the years into our breeding program, and by the joy brought to us from the many of our Schraderhaus puppy families who have been fortunate to have and to enjoy his offspring..
Thank you Oscar Torres for importing Mango over to the US from Belgium... and for the wonderful years that he has given us.

Mango would have been 11 years old in 6 more days, on January 6th 2024.
Rest in Peace Sweet Mango.. Much Love goes along with you from so many, in your new journey...

As we share our time together with family on our day of Thanksgiving... please remember to be thankful for the freedoms and the safety that we are blessed with in this wonderful country we call America. We pray that those who do not have their freedom, and those who are not able to be with families and their loved ones, will remain safe until they are once again free and their freedoms are restored to them.

Yesterday, In Alaska... Abigail von Schraderhaus (Meah x Mango) earned her NW1 title in her first NW1 NACSW trial. Once again under my friend Gayle Moeller's direction and training, Abi earned 2nd place for best times in the NW1 Entries, and 5th overall for best times in all the elements which consisted of a total of 32 Entries. I'm very proud of my little girl at only 15 months. She's got a great sniffer on her. GOOD GIRL ABBY! On to NW2 !... Loved The Judges Comments....Thank you Gayle!
