Fernlee Kennels has offered quality boarding and professional grooming services to the tri-county ar Rates are assigned based on the size of the pet.

We have 110 individual kennels, 74 of which are heated and 36 of which are unheated and used only during mild weather. Each kennel has an inside area that is 3’ wide by 4’ long with a platform for the dog to sleep on and an adjoining outdoor cement run that is 3’ with by 12’ long. Rest assured that under no circumstances will your dog be boarded with other dogs – each dog has it’s own individual k

ennel and run. In mild weather (60 & up) the dogs have constant access to their runs throughout the day. In cool weather the dogs are kept inside and given access to their runs 5 to 6 times daily. Holiday Deposit Policy

We require a credit card on file to hold all holiday and school break reservations. Cancellations within less than one week of the reservation start date will result in a $50.00 charge per kennel booked. Closed on Holidays (No check-ins or check-outs)
Closed at Noon on Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve

BOARDING & DAYCARE
Boarding services are provided on a reservation basis for dogs and cats. You will be charged for the day you check-in regardless of the time. If you pick up before noon on your departure day then you will not be charged for that last day. $3 off the second dog when boarding same family pets in the same kennel

Monthly Discount: 31 days for the price of 25 (6 days of FREE boarding!)

Kennel baths are offered for boarding pets on their departure date. If your pet requires professional attention an appointment with the groomer is required and should be made at the time of the boarding reservation. GROUP PLAY & YARD TIME
In Group Play dogs are allowed to play with other compatible dogs for an extra charge of $4 per session. They will play for at least 15 minutes. If your dog does not get along with other dogs we offer alone yard time for the same time, and cost of $4 per session. What you may wish to bring:
* Food: We provide Diamond Adult Maintenance (chicken based) dry food and Pedigree canned food. If your dog is on a special diet, or still eats puppy food we recommend supplying your own food. No additional charge either way
* Bedding is permitted so long as it is machine washable. Please do not bring expensive bedding in case your pet destroys it.
* Toys, Treats, and Personal Items: All are welcome, however we are not responsible for lost items. If you have anything expensive or that you absolutely require back, please do not bring that with your pet for their stay.
* Current vaccination records must be on file for all boarding animals, including Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. We accept cash and all major credit cards.

Life changes in mysterious ways and the thirteen years I’ve dedicated to this place I will never ever forget. It was an amazing journey and I would not change it a bit. I met some of my best friends here and couldn’t imagine doing this without them. I also want to thank my amazing boss for giving me the best 13 years of my life! It is with a heavy heart that we must tell you that Fernlee Kennels will be closing its doors on May 17th, 2022. Suz will be working Thursday’s to Monday’s up until May 15th. She will keep her clients updated as to her whereabouts after that.

We appreciate the business you have given us for the past 60 years, and we thank you for being loyal customers. You, and especially your pups, will be greatly missed, more than words can express.
