Did you know when buying treats for your pets, the longer the lists of ingredients could mean more fillers and artificial additives. Less is better or making up your own is even better.

Something as simple as:

1 1/2 cup Almond flour
1/4 cup peanut butter (make sure PB does not have xylitol in it).
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1/8 - 1/4 cup water

Preheat oven to 325. Mix all ingredients together. I roll out on parchment paper. Use a cookie cutter to cut out size of treats. I use different sizes for my dogs, so the quantity will depend on what size you use. Place in oven and bake for 25 minutes. Temperature will vary in different ovens. Turn off oven and let sit for 30 minutes. Your dogs will be happy and there are no additives in these treats!

When checking out treats for your dog look for fewer ingredients that way it’s less likely to contain unnecessary fillers. If time is available, homemade treats are great.
