Molina K-9 Training, LLC is a program that educates the dog owners and understand their dogs and enrich the relationship from owner to dog. The program is owned and operated by United States Marine Corps Veteran, Pamela Molina – a certified Master Dog Trainer through Highland Canine’s School for Dog Trainers. Pamela Molina is passionate about working with all breeds and temperaments. She is certif

ied in Advanced K-9 first aid through K-9 Medic and is also certified handler through Pacesetter K-9. Her comprehensive understanding of dogs, and their way of learning has allowed her to develop customized training plans to fit the needs of the dog and owner. At Molina K-9 Training, we screen all applications to ensure that you can truly benefit from our program. We always try to make sure that our training is a perfect fit for you and your dog. Our goal, first and foremost, is to make the dog community a better place in San Antonio so if we are not a match, we will find you resources.

Another service dog evaluation in the books, we conducted the Volhard Puppy Aptitude test on this cute boy! He was all kisses, cuddles, and scored mostly 3's today, hopefully he will make someone a great service dog 🐕‍🦺

Buck comes from a questionable facility that claimed he was fully trained. We quickly found out he needed to start from scratch. We're starting with clicker training so his owner can learn more about timing and so Buck can understand when he's done something worth payment 🍪

Courtesy Post for Client:

Bo is a 3 year old neutered male, his current owner obtained him when he was 2 years old. He has not been socialized or trained. He will bark when startled and will avoid new things. He has not shown any aggression yet, just very much avoids. A crate is his safe space. I evaluated him for a few days, he gave me no issues in handling or in meeting his basic needs. He made so much progress in the time his owner has had him. The owner loves him very much and has put a lot of care into his training.
Unfortunately, there has been a death in the family and other major changes that have made her unable to continue Bo's progress. She feels it is right to rehome him to someone who is willing to continue his training - that he needs for him to have a happy life. I will not share my client's information publicly to be respectful of what she's going through right now. Please keep any comments respectful.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
As some of you may know I was involved in a car accident last July which resulted in multiple injuries. Without getting into details, I will be having surgery done relating to those injuries. MK9 is owned and operated by myself, so I ask for patience while I get this procedure done. I hope to recover swiftly and carefully so I can get back to training with my clients.

If you've been working with me then I have already discussed with you your options. If you're looking for training I am more than happy to give you some recommendations to some great local trainers.

What does behavior modification look like? This is what it looked like for Mobi- restructure of the home, teaching alternative behaviors to the outbursts, and slowly introducing dogs at a pace where he can still function. We'll be closing the distance more and more until we can reach our goal of having him relaxing next to other dogs in a controlled manner.

Baby Aldo is growing up so fast and learning almost faster 🤯 He started the beginning of his first task "Touch", his handler has had alot of fun with this command if you can't tell by Aldo's enthusiasm. 😊

Team Mobi is completely destroying their homework! Using Heel, Place with an Implied Stay, and Leave-it.. 🥺 so proud! Watch how Mobi keep his eyes on his owner while she gives him clear and clean commands, this is the type of relationship I love seeing in our teams!

Team Bull is now Team ALDO! They've been doing amazing with adjusting to puppyhood. Like most puppies, Aldo is very energetic but his family is putting that energy to use through training 💪🏽 Keep up the good work guys!

You can find him at MAD Rescue - Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue Inc. under the name "Rusty". Very sweet, easy Mal mix. Good with dogs, cats, chickens, kids, loves everyone he meets.

Socializing your dogs to Firefighters

Always prepare your dog for those emergency situations, the last thing you need is your dog to run away from the heros. Thank you Buda Fire Station #2 for being so welcoming and letting MK9 dogs prepare for the future 🚒

Muzzles are amazing safety tools! They often get a bad reputation because people often picture a dog trying to desperately to get it off. Chances are that dog they picture has never been muzzle conditioned. Don't wait until you need it, make sure you condition your dog to be comfortable having a muzzle on. Remember muzzles aren't just for dogs who are aggressive, they are for dogs to can't stop eating everything off the ground, and they are also used for safety in case your dog is ever suddenly hurt. A dog in pain is a dog with the potential to bite. So muzzle condition your dog!!! So they can be comfortable and so you can be safe. It's important to pick a breed that will suit your lifestyle. It's important to do research well in advance about what you'll need for your dog from toys, food, kennels, vets, and especially training. When you don't prepare well, you end up with a stressed dog and a feeling of being utterly overwhelmed. But you're here now with a dog that you love and want to see succeed. So what are your options?..well that depends. Are you willing and capable of changing your lifestyle to meet the needs of your dog?
